My parents, sister, and I were all driving to Pennsylvania. As we reached Longoak, I saw my three best friends. "Emmy, Josh, Andrew!" I called at them. "Mom pull over! I wanna get out!" I told my mom. She pulled over and I jumped out and ran to them. "Andrew!" I yelled as I ran and hugged him. He had been my best friend ever since I lived up there with them. He hugged me and spun me around a few times. He set me down and I ran to Josh. I hugged him and he picked me up and tossed me in the air, then set me down again. I went over to Emmy and hugged her.
We walked down the street until we got to where the streets met the farmland. We went straight to Andrew's house to get something to eat. After we were done we went outside and found Andrew and Josh's crossbows and told them to go hunting, and that Emmy and I would cook up what ever they caught and skinned.
They ran off into the woods and Emmy and I went back into Andrew's house to find some sides to go with our fresh meat we were gonna have.
When they got back Josh had two rabbits with him, they were already skinned and gutted. Andrew limped into the kitchen, and I noticed that his ankle was swollen a little and turning purple. I went over and poked at his ankle to see if it was broken or not. I decided that it was only sprained after I had examined it. I went over to the freezer and made an ice pack for him to hold on his leg, as Emmy and I started to cook dinner.
All of the sudden my phone started ringing. "shut up guys, it's probably one of my friends at home. They don't know about you guys."
"Hello?"
"Hey!!!!" Brooke and Maple cried at the other end of the line.
"Oh, hey guys. This isn't really a good time. I'm kinda helping make dinner now."
"AWE! Okay, but you have to promise to call us later tonight!" they giggled.
"Alright, alright. I will, I will." I promised them.
After we had finished eating dinner I went next door to my grandma's house. I called Maple and Brooke back and we talked for a while. "Okay guys. I have to get to bed now. I'm really tired." (I really didn't want to talk to them right now.)
I went up to my room and got ready for bed. As I fell asleep I couldn't shake the feeling that Brooke and Maple were suspecting something, and that they were going to find out.
