Double Differences

Chapter Six

Back at home Brooke and Maple were making breakfast.

"So did you talk to Lilly yet this morning?" asked Maple.

"Yeah, I called her before you woke up." replied Brooke as she started to make pancakes.

"I need to call her later today. I want to see whats up. She's been acting strange."

"Yeah I know! Do you think she has another boyfriend up there?" Brooke said in a wondering tone.

"I don't think so, Lil isn't the kind of girl who would cheat on her boyfriend. She's to good to do something like that." said Maple with a stern look, even though she was second guessing herself.

"Well maybe we should text her and ask! This is going to be so epic if she does have a second boyfriend! It will like be a total epic battle of epicness!" chirped Brooke and she pulled out her phone. She looked at her phone and frowned. "My phone is dead. I forgot to charge it."

"Okay, we can text her later. My phone is at home, I forgot it. Oops." Maple shrugged.

Brooke put two pancakes on their plates and gave a plate to Maple, who devoured them immediately, because she was starving. "whoa, slow down before you choke." Brooke said as she sat down and slowly ate her pancakes.

"Okay, well I better be going now." sighed Maple as she finished her last bites. "My mom will be waiting for me."

"Alright, you've been here for about 24 hours. Lol, you came at about two yesterday." giggled Brooke

"Lol wow your right. Well I gotta go now. See Yaaaaaaaa!" She hugged Brooke and skipped out the door, and across the street to her house. As she went across the looked back over at Brooke's house and to the right of that at the dark windows of Lilly's house. "They are so lucky to live next to each other." she thought as she went into her house. She couldn't wait for Lilly to get back home. "I hope Brooke wants her back too, it would be heartbreaking if she didn't." thought Maple as she went into her bedroom to get her shower stuff.
