"What should I wear today?" Luke asked Michael from his closet.
"I don't know," Michael said as he was looking around Luke's bedroom.
"Thanks for the help." Luke said sarcastically.
Michael's eyes traveled around his room, looking at all the things he kept on his shelves and dresser. Then, something caught his eye.
Sitting on top of his night stand, was a little worn-out book. Michael walked over to it, and picked it up. It looked to be about two or so years old.
Curious, he asked, "Hey, what's this?"
Luke turned around, and his eyes grew big seeing the book in Michael's hands. "Oh, uh, it's n-nothing!" He rushed over to Michael and took the book from him, "It's nothing!"
"Oh, okay..." Michael was confused on Luke's reaction. He seemed almost embarrassed about it.
Luke walked back over to his closet, and put on a shirt.
That book in fact wasn't nothing. That book held so many things he didn't want anyone to see. It held his thoughts and secrets. But most of all, it held songs.
In that little book, there were many song lyrics that he wrote. Some sad and depressing, reflecting to his dark thoughts. Other's were happy and upbeat, like the hope he had that things are finally going right. Not to mention, thats where he was writing a song for Michael. But all he knew, is that he didn't want anyone flipping through those pages but himself.
Shrugging off the awkward silence, Michael and Luke went downstairs to go play video games.
"Hey," Calum greeted them as they walked in the living room.
"What's up?" Michael smiled.
"Not much." He said.
"Do you wanna play games with us?" Luke asked.
"Oh, actually I was gonna ask you something."
"Yeah?"
"So my friend Richie owns a club downtown, and he was wondering if we wanted to stop by tonight." Calum said.
"Yeah, that sounds like fun." Michael said and looked back at Luke for approval.
"Well, we don't have any plans for tonight, so sure!" Luke smiled.
"Great, I'll let him know." Calum smiled back, and walked out of the room.
Michael and Luke went back to playing video games, and laughing when the other was shot down.
-
It was evening, around 7 pm. Calum, Ashton, Luke and Michael were about to go to the club downtown. Luke and Michael drove in Luke's car, while Calum and Ashton drove in Calum's.
Soon they arrived, and walked towards the building. Michael had never really gone clubbing very often, but he was excited to get through the doors and possibly get a little drunk.
There was a long line of people waiting outside and eager to get in, with a bouncer standing in front of the door. Calum led them to the front of the line and walked up to the bouncer. There were scattered 'Hey!'s and groans from some people in line.
"Hey," Calum got the man's attention.
The broad-shouldered man turned around, and a smile tugged at his lips. "Calum!" He greeted him. "You can go right in."
He moved out of the way from the door, and gestured for them to go inside. Calum walked in, with the rest of the boys following behind.
The room was filled with pulsing lights, and loud music. There was a dance floor full of people dancing and having a good time, and a bar with lots of people socializing and getting drinks.
