Ok so Catch Fire goes well / has a big part in this chapter, so I recommend listening to it. You'll know when ;)

The rest of that night, there was a lingering feeling of sadness hanging in the air. Michael tried to shake it off, but it never seemed to go away. Luke was sad, too. Michael didn't want to leave, and Luke didn't want him to either.

"Hey, let's eat the rest of this pizza." Luke suggested. They had just changed into more comfortable clothes in Luke's room and went back downstairs.

"Sounds good to me." Michael shrugged. They both grabbed a plate and shared the rest of the pizza between the two of them.

"Do you wanna watch a movie or something?" Luke asked.

"Sure." Michael said. He honestly didn't care what they were going to do, just as long as it would be with Luke.

Luke set up the movie in the living room, and they both sat on the couch next to each other.

Michael scooted closer to Luke, and rested his head on his chest. Luke put his arm around Michael and played with his hair. They watched the movie and ate their pizza. Michael took Luke's hand in his. He played around with Luke's fingers instead of paying attention to the movie.

"I don't want to go home." Michael siged.

"I don't want you to, either." Luke said softly.

Michael sat up and looked into Luke's deep blue eyes. He took his hands and put them on Luke's cheeks, binging their lips together. Michael kissed Luke softly, but passionately at the same time. Luke kissed back, slipping his tongue in between Michael's lips.

"I have something to show you," Luke whispered, pulling away from the kiss. "Follow me."

"Okay," Michael said. He followed Luke out of the living room and upstairs to his bedroom.

"This way," Luke said, walking over to his window. Michael wondered what he was doing. Luke opened up the window and gestured for Michael to come over and join him.

"Here I'll help you up." Luke said. He helped Michael up and out of the window, and onto the roof. Luke followed behind, and sat down next to Michael.

"It's so nice out tonight." Michael said. The sky was clear, with the late night summer breeze playing with their hair. The moon light shone down on them and the stars filled the sky.

"This isn't exactly what I wanted to show you," Luke smiled. "Wait here for a second."

Luke got up and climbed back into his bedroom. Michael sat there, watching the nightlife and the busy nighttime traffic in the distance. Luke soon came back, with his guitar and a little notebook in his hands.

Luke sat back down next to Michael and placed his guitar in his lap. He opened up the small book and set it in front of him to see. Michael recognized the notebook, it being the one that Luke wanted to keep hidden. "This is what I've been waiting to show you." Luke said and looked into Michael's eyes. He looked back down and began to strum the guitar.

Luke began to sing, "Oh say, can you see? This is not who I'm supposed to be. Without you I'm nobody, killing time." He blushed a little, and Michael smiled. Luke had such an amazing voice, he's forgotten how it sounded since he's only heard him sing once before.

"I try to deceive, try to win you desperately. Now I'm lot in the swirling sea, of your sorry eyes."

Luke changed the strumming a bit, bringing it into the chorus. "All my life, I've been waiting for moments to come. When I catch fire, and wash over you like the sun.
I will fight, to fix up and get things right.
I can't change the world,
But maybe I'll change your mind."
