“Kiss me.” He stated simply as they stood in front of each other.
“What? Why?” Lexie took a step back to try to create some distance between them.
“Don’t ask questions. Just do what I said and kiss me.” He put a hand on the small of her back and pulled her closer.
“I don’t see the point of this.” She looked up at him, into his blue eyes, and made a face.
“I’ll let you know after you do it.”
So she leaned forward and pecked him on the lips. “There,” she said smiling.
“Not good enough. Again. And try to put some emotion behind the kiss.”
“And what if I don’t have any emotions for the man I’m with?”
“We’ll get to that later. Come on.”
Lexie kissed him again, this time letting the seconds pass before he pulled them apart. “Why do you do that?”
“What are you talking about?” She furrowed her brows, trying to figure out what she had done wrong.
“You are letting me take control.” He seemed exasperated.
“What’s wrong with that?” Anton had never complained before.
“Two things: a man likes a girl that’s in control. And also, you act like you don’t know how to kiss.”
“I do too!” She retorted back, offended.
Patrick grinned down at her. “No, I don’t think you do.”
She huffed out a breath. “Are you trying to offend me?”
“Just saying what I observed. Do you want me to teach you or not?”
She looked down, embarrassed at having to do this. “Yeah.”
“Ok, well the kiss starts before the actual kiss happens. If you do not have feelings for the person you are kissing, close your eyes and imagine you are kissing the one you do have feelings for. There has to be a connection between you and the person you’re going to kiss. Get it?” She gave him a blank look. “Ok, well it looks like I have to break it down for you. Eye contact is a definite. Try smiling around the eyes without your mouth. Tilt your head to the side and lick or bite your lips. Make some physical contact before leaning in.”
Patrick brushed her hair aside and laid his hand on her throat, almost as if holding the back of her head. “Once in position, you start leaning in.” He looked at her. “Maintain eye contact as you get closer but make sure to close them when you actually make lip contact.”
He brushed his lips across hers. “Tease the person. Start with little bitty kisses and then grow.” He nibbled the left corner of her mouth, brushed his lips across hers to nibble on the right corner. He pulled back a tiny bit, enough time for her to wonder, before kissing her full on the mouth, slowly, with just slight pressure.
Patrick picked up the kiss, adding a sense of urgency to it. His other hand came to cup her face as he moved his lips to her neck, his breathing growing heavy. He strew kisses along her throat to her jaw, and made a path toward her lips. Just before he was going to reach her lips, he moved to the other side as Lexie let out a groan of protest. Upon hearing it, he pushed her back, onto the bed, without breaking contact. She gasped and he finally found her lips again.
Gaining courage, she rested her hand on his chest, gripping his shirt. Anton was at the front of her mind, it was Anton kissing her now. She moaned.
