He looked just as Lexie remembered him, the extent of his beauty leaving her breathless. She took in his shock of blond hair that was now slicked back in an old-fashioned do, found his bright blue eyes that were taking in the sight of her, watched as he licked his full lips seductively.
Anton was dressed up in an expensive looking suit, fitting him to perfection. He stood behind his desk with one hand resting against the desk chair and the other in his pants pocket. There was an unreadable expression crossing his face as they both took in the sight of each other.
Lexie broke the stillness by crying out and rushing into his arms. “Anton! I’ve missed you so--”
She stopped talking once Anton had crushed his mouth to hers, the intensity of it making Lexie’s eyebrows raise. But she did not ask any questions, only took what he gave her. He eased back into his desk chair with her on his lap, his hands combing through her hair.
Anton rummaged around his desk with one hand while still focusing his attention on her mouth. After a few moments of this, Lexie pulled back and gave him a perplexed look.
“Sorry, little one, it’ll just be a second.” He reached into one of the drawers and pulled out a bottle. Hearing something rattle inside, Lexie turned to inspect what it was he was holding. It was a bottle of pills.
She looked back up at him with confusion written in her eyes. She laid a hand on his cheek.“Are you sick, Anton?”
“No, little one. This is for you. Since I don’t have a needle with me, this will have to do.” He undid the lid and shook out two pills and handed them to her. He leaned over her and grabbed a water bottle off his desk and pushed it into her hands. “Here. Take these.”
“What are they?”
“Oxycodone, love. They will keep your withdrawal symptoms away longer.”
Hearing this, Lexie swallowed them quickly and chased them with a few gulps of water. She threw down the water bottle and turned toward Anton, whispering into his ear. “Now, where were we?”
Anton reached behind her and slowly unzipped her dress then proceeded to pull it over her head. “We were about to get to the best part.” He stood up, her legs wrapping themselves around his waist as he sat her on his mahogany desk, shoving everything onto the floor.
Lexie pushed his jacket off his shoulders then went to his shirt’s buttons, kissing every inch of skin she was exposing.
Later, they both lay atop his desk, Lexie’s body splayed over Anton’s as they lay in contentment. Lexie stirred when she felt Anton put her on her back as he hopped off the desk as he started putting himself back together.
Curious, Lexie turned on her side and leaned against her elbow, lazily watching as he zipped his pants back up and began covering the body she had enjoyed strewing kisses across. He grabbed his suit jacket off the ground, put it back on, and then completed his look by sliding his hand back through his hair to put it back in place.
“You’re extremely sexy when you do that, you know.”
He looked over at her, saw the pose she was in, and grinned. “Do what?”
“Slick your hand back through your hair. It reminds me of that one movie, Grease.”
He chuckled as he came over to her and leaned down to kiss her swollen lips. “You’re irresistible, you know that? Especially when you’re lying naked on my business desk. It’s a man’s fantasy right there.” He kissed her one more time. “But unfortunately, we’ve got to be heading back. We have some business to attend to before we can call it a day.”
“We?” She asked.
“Yeah. It’ a business proposition that needs your approval in order for it to go smoothly. Nothing to worry about.”
“Oh, ok.” Lexie sat up and found her belongings on the floor. As she started redressing, Anton opened the door and stuck his head out.
“Marty, I need you in here.”
Heels were head clicking against the marble that made up the floor and the receptionist filled the doorway.
“Yes, sir?” Her eyes took in the sight of a half-naked Lexie and the room askew. Lexie started to receive death glares spurned from jealousy.
“Would you mind helping me zip my dress, darling?” Anton looked at her and started walking toward her, forgetting that Marty was standing there waiting for his orders.
Anton zipped up the back of Lexie’s dress extremely slow, his lips coming to find the dip between her shoulder and neck. He buried his face there and inhaled the sweet scent of her.
Lexie giggled, looking up to meet Marty’s hateful glare with one of her own before flipping the bird on her. Smiling sweetly, she hopped off the desk and slipped into her shoes, turning to Anton.
“Ready, love?”
“Yes, little one.” As they made their way passed a still Marty, Anton spoke. “Marty, I need you to put my desk back in order immediately.”
Aiden turned as he heard footsteps coming from the front of the building. Relieved, he saw Lexie and a tall blond man walking toward the sidewalk, her hand in the crook of his arm. Since he had thought to put shades on, Aiden looked on and studied the way Lexie was walking. It was slightly off, as if she had stepped wrong. But it was happening to frequently to be an accident.
He looked at her eyes and saw a shininess that was all too familiar to him. She was on something and she had obviously just taken since she had left his sight with her wits about her. She went into that building feeling terrified and had come back out with a sloppy grin on her face and a man on her arm.
Wordlessly, he opened the town car’s rear door and watched them slide in before closing the door and rounding the vehicle to the driver’s side. He slid behind the wheel and adjusted his shades before looking into the rearview mirror to see Lexie’s head resting on the man’s shoulder.
“Where to, sir?” Anton asked, his voice void of all emotion.
“Back to the townhouse. And make it quick. We’ve got a meeting to get to.”
“Right away, sir.” Anton turned on the engine and pulled out into the street.
Anton gazed down at Lexie’s smooth head and kissed the top of it, smiling slightly. He had dearly missed the presence of this one. His mind was constantly full of her and it had gotten to the point where he had to see her.
He had tried to find women that had her same long, dark hair or even the golden brown eyes he just could not get enough of. But nothing seemed to work. Only after he saw her again did he understand that nothing could replace her. Nothing at all. After kissing her head once more, he wrapped an arm around her shoulders and turned to look out the window.
