"Oh my god Ava why would you wear that?" You asked your best friend.
"It looked cute before I found out he was wearing it to!" She exclaimed.
You just rolled your eyes, this happened too much it was honestly like she like him, Luke Hemmings. To be honest you though he was adorable and you've had a massive crush on him since freshman year of high school so 3 years now. However you knew you two couldn't date because you were popular and he wasn't. It was science next the one class you had an excuse to be by him. You two were lab partners and every time his hand brushed yours, you blushed a little and he noticed. "Good morning Luke," you said kindly.
"Morning y/n, how are you?" He questioned.
"I'm good you?"
"Better now that your here."
My heart began to flutter and my face turned bright red. Why does he have to like me? I'm popular and he's not it's like an unspoken rule that can't be broken. "Y/n are you okay? You can sit down now?" Luke said.
"Okay," you mumbled.
"Did I say something?"
"No it's just me being uh."
"I said something was it when I said better now that your here?"
"Yeah."
"Look I like you a lot y/n, I know its not what should happen but I love you."
"I - I love you too Luke."
After that day you and Luke hung out all the time no one could separate you two. When Luke was absent one day you went to sit with your old friends and they gave you dirty looks. "What did I do?" You questioned.
"Umm hello your dating that dork Lemmings!" Said one girl.
"He's not that bad."
"Sweetheart your popular you could have any boy, but why did you pick that one?"
"Why can't I just date him? What if I love him too? Is it that bad!" You snapped, you did not like it when people talked bad about Luke.
"Well clearly your not like us go hang with your boyfriend's friends."
You ran away nearly crying over what they said. The only place that you felt safe at was the science classroom. As you sat at one of the desks, with your head in your hands. A voice said, " I thought I'd find you here."
Since then you've been with Luke and made new, better friends. All of them supporting your choice to be with Luke. The only thing that bugged was when your old friends gave you dirty looks, but when Luke saw that he'd hold you closer. Making you forget about their dirty looks and evil comments, it was magical.
