"Bye.. " Ash whispered and pursed her lips. It was twilight now. She scrunched her nose and pulled together her eyebrows.
"What happened? You gonna throw a tantrum now? Come on go do your Trigonometry assignment Ash. " Said Nate sympathetically.
"But I hate it. I don't like doing those sums. You're good at it. That's why you're giving me that look." Ash huffed. They were still on the door.
Nate sighed. He hugged her real tight.
"Good bye Ash."
Ash pursed her lips as Nate left. She banged the door shut. Nate turned to look and giggled.
Liz and Lana were nowhere to be seen. They had given them some'personal' space.
She pulled out her textbook and notebook and slammed them on the table.
"Ugh" she growled.
She fidgeted with her phone to kill some time. About half an hour later even that proved to be dreadfully boring. She pulled out the city of glass in which Jace and Clary were making out outside a blown up manor. Woah! She slammed the book shut and threw it on the bed. Not having anything to do, figuratively speaking, she lay on the bed and stared at the ceiling which Liz and her had decorated last year with fluorescent stars. She switched off the lights and stared at them pretending to be under an open sky.
Liz and Lana barged in the door and turned on the lights. It hurt to look at lights so bright. Hey pupils took some time to adjust. While, Lana shrieked as soon as she saw Ash lying on the bed, motionless with hands covering her eyes. Liz too was startled.
Ashley didn't move. Lana tiptoed to her bed. Checked her out like a specimen under a watchglass.
"Relax Lana. She's not dead. She's just asleep. Tired maybe. She was with Nate." Liz chortled emphasising on 'Nate' a great deal.
Lana chuckled.
Just when it seemed that Lana was comfortably leaning against the mirror (it was her habit, and you come to know about the habits of your roommates) , Ash sprang up and made a loud noise "Booo" (like the monkey God in a Speedo- in Kane Chronicles).
Lana yowled in shock as jumped away. Liz burst out into a lighter while Lana panted, her hands on her knees. Ash too was laughing clutching her stomach hard on the bed.
Lana shot daggers. She was mad.
"Come on you too! Not funny!" She snapped.
"I could've died of a cardiac arrest." She shrieked.
"Relax" Liz and Ash said in unison.
"Freeze five!" Liz threw her hand in the air. Ash joined her and kept their hands frozen in the air.
Lana went around them to her bed and sat down grabbing her water bottle.
"We were anyway gonna leave now. Came to take our phones. Has put em on charge." Liz droned. Ashley nodded.
"But you just came. Besides I've got trigonometry to do. Won't you help me? And, it's 9:30 anyway. Where are you gonna go?"
Liz waved her hand in response.
"We'll be back honey. Just in time."
"Just in time for what?" Ash demanded. But they'd already left. She sighed in exasperation.
"Think I'm gonna have to do trigonometry.." She muttered and sighed and slipped into a dream.
She was jerked out of her reverie by a sharp knock on the window. Who could it be? Or what could it be? Vampire??
She hurried to the widow, pulled open the curtains and saw Nate hanging atop the railing.
"What the hell are you doing here Nate? Do u wanna die? Come on up I'll kill you myself!" Ash snapped in annoyance.
Nate grinned.
"Only if you open the windows.." Nate sang.
Ash pulled him in as he slid on the floor almost gracefully.
They had a little couch in their room. Wide enough to fit two lean people. Ash crashed on it and threw open her textbooks.

Wtf!
Nate saw her agitated from the corner of his eye. He went over behind the black leather couch and leaned over to see the sum that dared to bother her girlfriend.*Ouch! cheesy*
Ash could feel his shoulders digging into hers. Her body tensed. It still gave her flutters. Nate smelled of soap and sunlight, if sunlight had a smell-
And she could feel the warmth of his body seeping into hers.
"Ash.. Ash" Nate shook her gently.
"Oh sorry. I was ..um""Yeah you were.. Um" Nate chuckled. Ash could feel the vibration of his voice. It was definitely helping to concentrate. Note the dripping sarcasm.
"Just convert that into sin and cos.." Nate murmured.
"Huh? " Ash shot a confused and lost expression. Nate sighed.
"Here. Scoot." Nate jumped over the couch and fell into the small space beside her. Her body against his. She could sense his heart pound.
Nate grabbed a pen and solved it. "But you gotta understand it first. Look.." And he dived in headfirst into explaining.
"Got it?"
"Surprising yeah. Yes I did. Didn't think I could actually." Ash clapped enthusiastically.
"Good."
"Well that helped. You know, jumping in through my window, leaning over me, and then..." Ash spoke gesticulating. But she couldn't complete.
Nate leaned over and kissed her.
Their lips crashed. *Dramatic music* Nate murmured against her lips,'See math is fun'. Ash chuckled. Ash played her fingers through his hair.Suddenly, the door flew open and Liz and Lana barged in.
"Oops!"
"We should've known. " they chuckled and ran out leaving them in an awkward silence.
