"What?"
"Hell-O hon!"said the speaker laying extra stress on the 'O'.
"Mom, Do you suffer from Alzheimer's? Can you just remember that I'm in school right now? And not in a party, unlike you! Bye!" She snapped.
"Liz, Liz dear, I'm prou...." And she was stopped mid-sentence.
Liz threw her phone in her locker and bandged it's door. The loud noise made every one in corridor freeze and stare at her.
"WHAT ???" shouted Liz in annoyance over all the attention that had been directed towards her. All of this got under her skin.
They shuffled and returned to their usual chores. Ashley was bounding across the corridor pushing through people. She was panting from all the running who, unlike Liz, wasn't much of a sport person. Her brown Elena Gilbert hair flew behind her. She was in a grey top with a sequined cat on it paired with denim shorts and sneakers. Behind her was Nate who was trying very hard to keep up with Ash given the number of students present in the corridor.

Seriously why do these people practically live in these corridors!

"Liz...." Whispered Ashley as she jumped beside her panting like a dog and grabbed her left hand and kept the other on her knee.
Nate reached just after, matching his confused expressions with Liz's. Ashley was one person whom she couldn't afford to lose. Maintaining her calm, Liz shut her eyes closed and spoke, "What is it now Ash?"

"Liz... Harry... Principal.. Office.." These were the only words that escaped between her heavy breaths. This was just enough to get what was going on.
"Okay... " She muttered and sprinted towards the office.
"See ya later Ash!" She called out while running.

It was a long run through winding corridors crawling with students busy doing whatnot. The Principal, Madam Derby's office was in one corner of the school where no one but those in detention walked to. Besides, she could've taken this to be a call for some basketball cheer leading job had Harry's name not been mentioned. This gave her flutters.

The principal's door was closed. Just as she lifted her hand to knock, she heard footsteps. A girl wearing a pink skirt shorter than what normally would be and a black laced top appeared trotting.

Ah! So you're back?

Liz forced a smile on her face and waved in a typical giggly-girl manner, or better say the bitchy way.

"Forbes."
"That's my name. May I help you?" Spoke Liz as she pursed her lips and batted her lashes.
"Just the place you should be... You'll see" said Bimberton as she walked away trotting like a giraffe.

Seriously why go girls wear heels if they've to walk like a new born calf! Take it from me,it DOESN'T look sexy.

No sooner did Linda disappear, Harry came into view as he turned the corner sprinting.
"Hey!" Whispered Harry amidst sharp breaths. Liz simply stared at him for a few seconds. Harry steadied his breathing and looked back as he said right before her barely a few inches away. Liz was expressionless. She was jolted back to reality as heard the period bell ring and she looked away. They lifted their hands simultaneously to knock but paused giving way to the other. Finally, annoyance got the better of her and Liz knocked. Harry opened his mouth to speak but decided otherwise.

"Come in!" Shouted Madam Derby through closed doors.

Harry turned the knob around and pushed the door open. The office was a posh one.

You can well imagine.

Madam Derby thumped the phone down and glared through the top of her thin rimless glasses.

"Ah... Come in! Here come the celebrities!" She said in a sugar coated screech.

"Come on take a seat, Elizabeth... And Mr. Harry"
It seemed that she had an extra deal of hatred or annoyance towards Harry.

"So..." Madam Derby said as she got up and walked to them.

"I hope things are 'fine' between the two of you." Liz and Harry looked at each other with wide eyes.
"Oh come on did you two actually think I'd not know? Well you're really..... dense I'd say." She was being rhetorical.

She banged a folded newspaper before them. "Go on... Turn to the Hollywood buzz, will you? " She said emphasising on the page name.
Liz shuddered.
Harry shuffled around and quickly got up to turn to the page while Liz day there flushed and unmoved. Public embarrassment was her Achilles's heel. Meanwhile the principal glared at Harry with a sense of satisfaction. And there it was. Things couldn't get any more awkward. Hah!

"Would you like to comment Ms. Dare?" She asked haughtily.

"I-SAID-SPEAK-MS.DARE!!!"

Liz's cheeks turned red and a tear escaped. Harry saw it roll down. He stepped out and went to her. He stood behind her chair and placed his hands on her shoulder and looked at Madam Derby in the eye.
"Please... " He spoke with gritted teeth.
They held the glare for a good ten seconds. Then, Harry looked away. He snaked his arm around her neck for support. Liz was sobbing by now. It felt as though Madam Derby couldn't comprehend the situation. Her eyes grew narrow, and face red. Harry withdrew his hands but kept it placed on her shoulders after Liz got hold of herself a bit.

"I want none of this melodrama in my office. If you could please keep a check on yourself. As for you Mr. Harry I suggest you stay away from the brilliant girl that she is. You are tainting HER. " she spoke with a bitterness in her voice and spat words it in the process.
Liz looked around scanning the room while buzzing of whatever she was bantering. A newspaper stand stacked with months of newspaper.

"Madam Derby, if I could please use the washroom..."

"That way hon!" Derby sure was bipolar.

Liz stopped at the stand placed right beside the door. She lingered there quietly and flipped through them quickly. Then, went inside.

Harry gave Liz a huge ear-to-ear dimpled grin. Liz returned it with a smug face.

"I'm really sorry Madam. This won't ever happen again, I promise. " said Liz with clearly no remorse on her face.

"Very well. Now you may leave!"

Liz forced a smile on her face while Harry looked around clearly very amused. He gave her a funny expression.

They left the room. Liz walked away. Harry jogged to keep up with her but she turned a corner and disappeared.

"Liz... Please wait!! Would you just listen to me? Liz.." Called out Harry almost on the verge of breaking down soon after she got out of view.
