"GET OUT NOW!" Mr. Dhanse yelled across the room, pointing his chubby finger at the door, his coffee stained shirt dripping. "YOU'RE FIRED!"
"No please! I-" I pleaded innocently. I needed this job. Not as bad as any one else because I was quite wealthy, but I loved to take pictures ever since my father gave me my first real camera before he passed away from cancer. He told me to never stop taking breathtaking pictures as long as I live. Yeah... that's going to stop sadly.
My boss stared me down and I quickly left the bustling Daily Bugle. As I left, I scrolled online on my phone to see if there was any opening jobs of photography. So far they were all taken. I then curiously debated on whether I should change to a different job or keep looking.
Not even noticing the man in front of me, I slammed into him.
"Oh my gosh!" I exclaimed, bringing my hand to my mouth in horror. The man thankfully spilled his coffee to the right of him and not all over himself. I immediately reached over to my right and grabbed a napkin from a table, and hurriedly checked him over to see if any coffee got anywhere. So far, so good. Then I looked up at these beautiful electric blue eyes. I was lost for words. "I-I am so sorry!" I apologized repeatedly. He had a soft mellow voice when he spoke.
"No, no. It's okay, I'll be fine."
"Sorry... it's just I got fired, and I was trying to look for a job and I didn't see you. I feel so terrible! Here, just...let me buy you a drink sometime." His eyebrows shot up, making me feel even more like an idiot. "Oh Lord." I looked down, face red from embarrassment.
"It's fine... I'll take that drink though. And there is a job opening at Oscorp if you're interested. What do you like to do?"
Chewing my bottom lip I muttered,"Photography."
"Huh. Well I'll let you know if they have any spots for that. You look very busy so I'll let you get back to whatever you were doing. Take care of yourself," he walked past me, but before he got far I called after him,"What's your name?" He turned his head and smiled,"It's Harry." The wind caught on the word so I barley heard it.
"Harry... huh." And I walked to my car, where I drove to my apartment.

Immediately, I dove to my laptop and searched some jobs openings for Oscorp. No jobs had any photograph hirings. I was actually disappointed. I would've loved to work there, seeing the picture taken of the looming building of the company, with its high dark windows and massive structure.
I searched for a worker by the name 'Harry' and came up with hundreds of names, each having a picture of the worker plastered beside their names. It must've been fifteen minutes before I found the picture of him. I looked to see what he did, and was so surprised at what I saw. Leaning my chair back, I laughed quietly.
Today, I just had a conversation with the CEO of the company. He sounded as if he just worked there, not as if he was the freaking head of Oscorp, a billion dollar company! Maybe he had a lot of stress weighing him down, so he just tried not to think of him as his busy self.
Then my phone dinged. I never get text messages. It's really rare when I do, because I don't have that much friends, except Brinkley and Sam. But I told them never to text, only call. I picked up my phone and read only a number, no name. But the text was casual.
'Hey.'
I responded lightly as well, adding the normal question.
'Hello there. Who is this?'
And they responded rather fast.
'The question is, who are you? You see, I never got your name.'
'Harry?'
'Yes. Who are you?'
'I'm Madlyn... how'd you even get my number???'
'You told me you liked taking pictures, and you said you got fired, so I put the two and two together, and figured out you worked at Bugle, where I asked some co-workers to get your number.'
'Oh okay. Like That makes me less hesitant to text you rn.'
'Yeah sorry 'bout that.'
'I don't think of you as the texting person, Harry. You seem more of calling business man.'
'Isn't that what everyone thinks? They all say I'm too business like. What have you been doing?'
'I think you could be fun when you want to be but idk. I've been scrolling through the Oscorp Website to see if there was any job openings for photography. So far, none turned up:('
'I have an idea for that.'
'All ears.'
'I'll give you a job to be my personal assistant photographer, to take photos of scenic places around New York.'
'What if they're supposedly bad pictures?'
'Well then I hope you pray they're not ;)'
Conversations passed on text before he finally called me. When I heard his voice, I got edgy. Something about it. When we talked in person, there were cars honking and noise everywhere. Now that it was silent in my apartment and wherever he was at, I could hear Harry's voice clearly.
My stomach twisted, as I realized who I was talking to. I searched Harry's last name. Then I caught my breath: Osborn. I didn't really glance at his last name on the Oscorp Website. Just his picture, but now?
"Harry Osborn..." I whispered into the phone laughing lightly.
"Yes, Madelyn?"he whispered back teasingly. I put my hand over my mouth and felt a warm tear, glide down my cheek. Then I had to ask to see if he remembered.
"Can I ask a random question? I'm totally not flirting, I swear."
"Go on."
"Who was your first kiss?" I said it slow and girlish, like a teen girl was talking about her crush to her friends.
He cleared his throat and said,"Just some girl back in, what? Ninth grade? I can't remember. It's been too long."
"Do you remember her name? Or is it fuzzy?"
"I don't know... I think it might've started with an N or R. Yeah it's fuzzy."
There was a two minute pause before I said,"Well... It's six o' clock. I should I better be going. It was nice talking to you... Har-Bear." And I hung up, not letting him process the nickname.
I was crushed. He said he'd always remember. He said he'd always love me, and never forget. Sure maybe I hadn't recognized his appearance but I never forgot him. I even figured it out quicker than he had. Running to my room, and slamming onto my bed, I laughed, and then cried, until exhaustion swept over me and my eyelids formed a bridge, which made my vision turn dark.
