Immortals // Fall Out Boy

I'm back!! This is a sort of filler chapter, nothing much happens.

On Christmas morning, Ella woke to find George on top of her. She peered up to his face in the weak, washed out light. "You better have a good reason to be on top of me, mister," she said.
"Or what?" George asked, clearly finding this hilarious. Ella couldn't understand why.
"Or I'll push you off the bed."
"It's Christmas!" George yelled, then got off the bed in one, smooth, motion. Ella could never quite understand how he managed it. Ella pulled herself up, and moved out of be. It was very cold, and was thankful to slip into a chunky sweater with leggings. After brushing her teeth, she went downstairs in search of food. She shouted 'Merry Christmas!' to any occupants of the house she walked past.

Upon reaching the kitchen, Ella found George there. She sat down opposite him, so that she could put her head down and watch him as he ate. She could also put her feet up on him. Ella herself wasn't feeling that hungry. Christmas wasn't exactly her favourite time of the year; she had her parents to thank for that.
"So," Mrs. Weasley started, after everyone had sat down for breakfast. "Today's plan is to visit your father in hospital. And everyone is coming along," she added to Ella, Harry and Hermione. Ella didn't feel to bad about this. At least she couldn't go back to sleep.

Over the past few days or so, Ella had started to build up a good relationship with Mrs. Weasley, which overjoyed George. It was quite hard to dislike the woman; she was the nicest person Ella had ever met. Of course, there was the Charlotte thing, but surely Molly would come to her senses over time?

After breakfast, it was present time. Ella sat hesitantly by George's feet. She didn't know whether or not her parents had gotten her anything, but it'd look really bad if they hadn't. Not that she cared, of course. There were other people in the world, too. Her parents, at the end of the day, didn't feel like her parents.

Ginny sat down next to Ella, causing the latter to smile at her. Ella rather liked Ginny, she had an honest habit of being truthful and blunt. She was also very sassy, and happened to be George's favourite sibling. "Everyone else is too annoying," he whispered to Ella one evening. Fred didn't count, the boys were almost one soul. However, Ginny ended up being chief present distributor, as she was closest to the tree. Ella was ashamed to say that she was surprised when handed seven presents.

At least two were from Fred and George, plus a massive one from Mrs. and Mr. Weasley, one from Hermione and Ginny, single ones from Fred and George and one from Charlotte. From the parents, Ella got a large assortment of mince pies, a medium blanket and a Weasley jumper. Ella felt so honoured, she started crying. From Fred himself, Ella got an assortment of socks and water bottles, which she decided not to question. From the twins together, she got two different Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes packages, which she was excited to look through. From Hermione and Ginny, she got some charms and the bracelet (a book, a wand, a guitar, a motorbike and a pizza). And George?

George got her a promise ring.

Ella nearly screamed when she first saw it, before George nearly chucked himself over her to take it out of her hands. Once he turned around, he explained. "It's not an engagement ring, it's a promise ring. You've heard of those, right?" Ella nodded.
"My Dad gave one to Mum when they were sixteen."
"Well, I guess I got a similar idea then. We're too young to marry, but whilst we get settled down, I think this is perfect." Ella, who for the past few minutes had not been able to take her eyes off the ring, looked up.
"Okay," she said.
