Chapter 1

"Y/n we have a problem." Adam called. "What now." I sighed. It's currently 11 in L.A., meaning, I should be asleep. "We may or may not be in L.A. right now." He said. "Well yeah, Minecon," I remarked. "Yeah, but the hotel fucked our reservations. So can we stay with you?" He begged. "SLEEPOVER!" I shouted. Adam and I have never met in person. But we still act like we have known each other for a decade, even though it's only been 10 months. "Text me the address." He replied. "Right across the airport, 6872 Star Street. I will call you an Uber." He laughed and hung up.

After 10 minutes of cleaning, I am a very messy person, the door bell ringed. I almost hit my head on the door from sliding across the kitchen, "ADAM!" "Y/N!" We screamed. Everyone looked at us like we were mental, even my neighbors. Adan hugged me, I tensed up, but hugged back. "Let me show you the rooms. All of you will have to share a room with another person, so pick now or forever hold your piece." Everyone laughed, and I began the tour. 

I showed them all the rooms, including the room with the best WiFi, my office. Adam pulled me aside afterwords, "You didn't have to do this." He whispered. "I have 6 extra rooms, and live alone. I don't even have a goldfish, Adam. I wanted to do this." I smiled. He hugged me again, god he loves hugs. I tried not tense up, but I did. "If I may ask, why do you tense up when you get hugs?" He wondered. "I-it's a th-thing." I stuttered. "Um... okay." He said, "But really, thanks." He finished, walking away.

(Time Skip To That Night)

Adam decided to throw a party. I was happy because I got to meet Jess and Shelby, I was mad because he bought a lot of beer. Probably not knowing I can't have any. "Adam, you know I can't drink right?" I said over the music. "Oh shit, thats right, you're only 20. Don't worry you and Ross can drink the punch." I rolled my eyes. Shelby didn't drink either, as did Jess. We just sat in my office and talked, "So why do you not have a boyfriend, you are so pretty?" Jess said, she was like a mom to me. "I don't really want a relationship after my last one..." I said. "What happened, Y/n?" Shelby asked. "I-it was a-a-abusive." I mumbled, holding back tears. Jess and Shelby both hugged me, I didn't tense up. "We're here for you. Just text or call if you ever need to talk." Jess remarked. "Well don't you get crushes?" Shelby asked. I blushed, "Yeah..." I smiled. "You have one now don't you?!" They almost screamed. "You can't prove anything." I denied. "It's Adam, I can tell by the way you talk to him. Your blushing isn't very secretive." Jess said. "Fine, it's Adam. But he is married and has a kid, I can't do that!" I hesitated. "You are allowed to have crushes, everyone is." Shelby said. "But it would be awkward." I sighed. They pulled me into a hug and got up to go to the party. I did after a few minutes.

Everyone was in the same hotel, and some had houses they rented. There were 4 designated drivers, and lots of Ubers. I went to bed after everyone else, I did so much thinking, 'I can't love Adam. He is married. He has a kid. He also seems happy with Alesa. I don't want to love anyone, it's not a good time for me.' I continued as sleep started doing it's job. 

I don't want to love anyone.
