It has been a long time! I'm so sorry. I lost my password and everything that could go wrong did, but I am back!!

The priest smiles, a genuine smile. "This union will not continue."

"Without the father's blessing, thers can be no marriage." I sigh in relief. I run towards my father.

Arms snake around my waist yanking me back. I turn to see Kavar.

"Let go of me!" I snap.

"I still have your baby. Get back on the altar and say 'I do' or you will never see that baby again." I feel conflict inside of me. If I marry Brendan, I save my baby, but I lose my dad. If I don't marry Brendan, I get my dad back, but I lose the baby.

"Get your hands off of my daughter, now!" My dad snarls.

Kavar laughs and let's me go. Tears trickle down my face. I stand back on the altar.

"What are you doing?" My father asks.

"I have to save him. I'm sorry." Tears stream my face. The large double doors fly open behind me and in walk men with guns. Michael is with them. He made it.

My heart fills with joy. I want to run and hug him. I want to cry over our losses. Then Kyle comes into view. I smile at seeing the two of them.

"Cassie, come over here." My dad orders. I take a step and my arm is grabbed. Brendan is glaring at me.

More men flood the room. Kavar's men. I am thrown over Brendan's shoulder and carried down many cases of stairs. Brendan stops. He sets me down and looks around.

"You are my best friend. I can't lose you again." He says. He pushes me and I fall. Brendan slams a larger metal door and I hear the locks click shut. I hear him climbing the steps once again. I am left alone.

The tin door has a tiny slot in it. It looks like a window. I smash the window and stick my hand through trying to grab the door handle. Blood smears all over my arm. I pull my arm back in.

I rip my wedding dress and wrap my arm with the fabric. I need to get out. I hear steps descending the stairs. The locks on the door click and it swings open. Brendan.

"It's a war zone up there. We are losing. I fear for your life. I want you to have this during your last hours." He hands me a bundle of fabric. I look inside and see a sleeping baby.

Alex. My precious baby. "Please, let me try to get out of here." I beg.

"You can't, I have to have you." He smirks. "We're meant to be together at least until you die."

The door shuts again and the lock click. Alex starts to cry. I rock him and he still won't stop. I go to the window. "Help!" I call. "Somebody help! Please."

Nobody comes. I feel doubt set in my heart.

Maria's POV-

"Isabel, come on." We run down the steps to Liz. We find her in a full cell with a large glass window. The window is shattered and the glass is bloody.

    "Liz!" Isabel calls.

"Thank god! Isabel, Maria. Get me out of here." Liz cries. I look around for a key when I hear a lock click. I turn to see Isabel, she holds the key up and smiles.

     Liz's POV-

"Thank you for helping me guys, but I need you to take Alex and stay here. He needs you." I beg.

"No, he needs his mom." Maria counters.

"His mom can't let hundreds of people die for the sake of her wanting to stay with her baby. She can save a whole planet full of people and her family. She needs to go." Isabel reasons. I hand the baby to Isabel planting a kiss on his forehead. He giggles and smiles sweetly.

"I'll come back." I run up the stares quickly and into the ballroom.

Men were laying on the floor covered in blood. Gun shots were going off in all directions. I duck under a table and go to the end of it. Watching them fight, I realize that I'm no asset to this battle. I will just get in the way.

       No. These are my people.

I stand to fight for my people and my planet.
