I blink. I swear, I've never had Brianna before. Did Jaylynn do this to me? I don't even remember how she got ahold of my phone and took all of those videos of me. I quickly remove everything from last night, hoping she never viewed it. Now, I might as well open up her snap.
I tap my finger on the red box on Snapchat. From what appears on the screen is, just a middle finger. Brianna giving me the middle finger, and I definitely know that this isn't good. That she possibly found out about last night, or that she thinks I did something to Chandler for him to lose his memory, when I didn't. It was all an accident.
There's about 8 chats I didn't open up. It's odd because I don't really chat with a lot of people on Snapchat. I open the first one from Jaylynn. She said, delete this! you're making yourself look bad and people know about you and chandler. I almost panicked. Another chat was from Katie, one of Brianna's ex friends and she said, looks like chandler finally got payback on the bitch @brianna. The rest were from shocked people that attend my school.
They were asking if Brianna and Chandler broke up. Then some people were hating on me, but I deleted my story before I opened these. If I'm making myself look bad, then why would Jaylynn post it? I don't know how to cover up this lie and make Chandler believe that we're actually together. I'm scared he'll find out I lied.
"Carly! Did you call your father yet?" my mother yells from downstairs, and I jump from her tone.
"I'm calling him right now!" I reply, quickly closing Snapchat, leaving Brianna on seen.
Anxiety soon makes it way to me, having to tell my father about what happened. Why is she even making me tell him anyways? I'm afraid for what he's going to say.
I dial his number and it rings. My heart's racing and it continues to ring until the fourth ring, then he picks up.
"Hello?" he flatly says.
"Hey, dad, it's Carly," I smile nervously in a forced calm voice.
"Hi sweetie, what's up?" I hear a baby in the background, giggling.
"I have to tell you something," my voice wobbles, fearfully.
The baby in the background stopped laughing and I hear a woman's voice, asking, "who's that, honey?"
Of course, that's his girlfriend that he cheated on my mom with. Honestly, I don't like her. I can only stand her because of the baby, who's my half sibling, Matthew.
"Well, uh, you can't get mad, okay?" I went on.
"Alright, Carly, you can tell me," he sighed, but not too much of a heavy sigh.
"Okay, well, last night, I got invited to a party, so I went. I was with Jaylynn, and then Chandler," I softly spoke into my cellphone.
"Wait, who's Chandler?" he asks me.
"He's my, my boyfriend," I stutter, but still playing it safe.
He chuckles, "I've never met this boy."
"Yeah, but anyways," I reply anxiously, avoiding the fact that I hesitated, "alcohol was involved and he drove me home afterwards. Chandler was drunk driving and we got into an accident, but I'm okay."
"Carly, how many times do I tell you that I do not want you consuming alcohol or driving under the influence?" he says, sounding a bit annoyed and frustrated with me.
"Dad, I'm sorry, it's just that-"
"I don't want that happening ever again. Is your boyfriend okay? Did anything happen to him?"
I almost froze in my tracks while pacing back and fourth in my room. I can't tell my dad that Chandler got amnesia, then who knows what he'll think.two hours later...
"I'm going out with Julia, alright? I don't want you leaving this house, Carly," my mom says, with her purse and car keys in her hands.
"Alright," I say, with my phone in my hand on the couch.
"I mean it," she says in irritation.
Finally, she slammed the front door, and she locked it. Watching horror movies, and it being around 7 o'clock, I thought about Chandler.
After about ten minutes after my mom left, I immediately thought of going to see Chandler. He hasn't texted me, and I'm assuming it's because he doesn't have his phone. But since I've tutored him a lot this semester so I know where he lives, I decide to go visit him. I hope he doesn't know that I lied to him. I don't know how this lie is still going on.10 minutes later...
"Is Chandler here?" I ask his mom, who answered the door for me.
"Yes, but he's asleep," she frowned.
"I'm awake," I heard a faint voice inside from upstairs, and it sounded like his groggy voice.
"I guess he's awake," she says, with no expression, "come in."
I make my way upstairs into his bedroom, and open his door."Chandler?" I softly say.
"Yeah?" he groaned, "you're my girlfriend, right?"
I had a mixture of feeling guilt and satisfaction inside my stomach. There is something that I enjoy about this, because it's something I've wanted for a long time.
"Yeah," I pressed my lips together in form of a small smile, "how've you been?"
"Tired, and I haven't been on my phone all day," he reply's, looking up at me with his blue eyes.
I've never realized why Brianna loved Chandler so much. He just has this look, that's so hypnotizing and seductive, when he looks at you. My eyes remain looking at his.
"Do you mind passing me my phone?" he questions me, pointing at it across the room.
My heart stops and I glance back up at him.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing," I lie, getting up to get his phone for him.
"The doctors said I have to stay home from school for a few days," he informs me, even though it's only Saturday.
I remain quiet, waiting for him to find out that Brianna is his actual girlfriend. He scrolls through his phone, so I do the same to kill time and anxiety.
"Why do these people keep asking me about Brianna and saying we're dating? She's even messaging me," Chandler mutters, looking up at me.
I immediately come up with another lie, which makes more guilt inside me.
"You used to date her before, and she loved you so much that when you dumped her, she won't leave you alone."
It's almost eight o'clock and I decide to head home.
"Chandler, I'm going to leave," I say, quietly.
"Okay babe," he grinned, and I felt my heart beating faster.
For the first time, I felt the other soft side of Chandler that I've never felt before. In an instant, I decide the lean down over his bed, and I kiss him on his soft lips.
They taste exactly the same as they did last night.
