There's This Guy

The end

One day I was invited to go on a hike with Jay and his friends. Danny also came, as he was friends with some of the others that were going.

We found a cave on the hike and explored it. It was a little musty, with rotting logs strewn along the bottom of the cave. Stepping across them wasn't easy. I slipped at least 3 times. The cave wasn't very big, maybe 50 ft long.

In the back of the cave, there was a steep little hill that led to a mini cave above it. Some of the younger kids that were with us were exploring it, running up the hill and sliding down. I was curious to what it was like, so when all the little kids were done, I decided to climb it myself. And to my surprise, Jay followed me.

My foot slipped immediately after it hit the slick mud of the hill. But I found a rock to grab, plus I felt safer because Jay was behind me. When i made it to the top, I waited for Jay.  The mini cave was probably 5 ft long, it was tiny. And it was dark. When Jay came crawling in, there was little room.

"Wow this is cool" I said, trying to fill the silence. In my head I was thinking why is it so quiet??

"Yeah" is all he said. I realized he was watching me. There was a look on his face, like he wanted to say something else. But I disreguarded that thought as I realized that everyone had left the cave.

"Um, did everyone leave us?" I asked him. "Why did they all leave?"

He turned his gaze to the rest of the cave below us. "Wow, they did leave us", he chuckled.

I was getting a little scared. My foot was starting to slip and being in the dark cave alone was a kinda creepy.
"Should we head down?" I said, uneasily.

He must have noticed my tone when I said it, because he said "yeah I guess we should probably go." But the look on his eyes told me he didn't want to leave yet.

So I slid down the hill carefully, but I managed to still get some mud on the back of my shorts. Jay came after me. After we crossed the slippery logs and made it to the mouth of the cave I looked back to see where he was. He was right behind me.

"Hey, can I tell you a secret?" he asked.

"Sure" I said.

"Ok but you have to promise to not tell anyone."

"I promise" I answered, curious to what he was about to say.

And thats when he came up from behind me, and kissed me on left side of my cheek.
