The Selfless

As she walks around town enjoying the cold Winter breeze, she thinks.

She analyzes her surroundings and focuses on her senses.

The sounds her footsteps take, the footprints in the fluffy white snow. The crunches it makes as she proceeds.

Her maroon colored scarf draped around her neck and wrapped around her lower face, hiding her chapped lips. Her black hair blowing in the wind, cascading down her back, and her bangs drooped in between her eyes. Her hair was quite messy up top. Shaggy and in a few layers, framing her face and between her eyes, relaxing on her nose. The black locks provide a sense of warmth on her face.

Her icy blue eyes looked rather lifeless and cold. Her eyebrows made it seem as if she was bored.

She walks to a park. She sits in the snow, looking up, admiring the stars. She gazes up at the moon, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath. A small smile creeps into her face. A twig snaps behind her from a far. Her eyes then open and she returns back to her stoic expression.

She ignores it and lays in the snow.

She relaxes into the cold ice, sprawled out sighing.

She begins moving her arms and legs. Back and forth, making a snow angel.

She hears another twig snap, then stops. Listening intently she then stands up.

She looks up into the stars once more before closing her ice blue eyes.

"I know you are here, no need to hide any longer." She says. Her voice is monotone and soft, yet stern.

"Hmm a smart one here?" He says in a mocking tone.

He flashes in front of her, his kakugan activated.

He stands a few feet from her defensively.

"You have been requested to join Aogiri Tree." He says, his brown hair flowing in the wind.

"I'm afraid I don't want to join at the moment." She replies in a respectful manner, keeping eye contact with the strange man.

"Allow me to rephrase it, If you will not come by choice, I will have to force you." He activates his kagune."And I don't think you would enjoy that too much" He finishes, smirking.

"I think I would enjoy it" She replies monotone.

She suddenly flashes in front of him and grabs his bikaku, swinging him around and back down into the snow.

His eyes widened as she looks down at him. "Her Kakugan isn't even activated and she Is THIS powerful? I guess I understand why they need her."

She then kicks him in the chest and backs up.

"Tell them if they want me so badly, they are going to have to try a little harder than one weakling." She says walking off.

She begins walking back home,15 minutes later, she is into her apartment. She opens the door and closes it, locking it in the process. She then walks into the living room to find the light switch, once turning it on she sees a midnight haired teenager sitting on her couch with a smug look on his face.

He sees the shocked look on her face and smirks.

"It's gonna take more than a weakling you said, well.." He flashes in front of her.

"Here I am" he smirks

"I'm not going anywhere" She responds un surprised.

"We'll see about that." He raises his fist and she catches it, twisting his arm.
