I woke up and looked at the clock, it was 10:30. THE TICKETS HAVE BEEN ON SALE FOR HALF AN HOUR.
I rushed to my laptop and opened it up begging for it to go faster. I was on the website in less than a minute. Phew. Now I was typing Bastille in the search bar. I dreaded this moment would come. 'SOLD OUT' crossed out the concerts that are closest to us. I was gutted.
Tori wasn't home, she's gone out to do some shopping, I dreaded telling her the bad news about the tickets.
To drown my sorrows I put some music on, bastille of course, this made me so much happier.
I totally forgot about our grumpy neighbour and turned the volume right up, I could faintly hear banging and shouting through the walls but I took no notice and just started singing again.
Just as Pompeii finished there was a knock at the door, I turned the volume down and answered the door thinking it was Tori. It wasn't.
'Excuse me, but can you turn the music off I'm trying to write and well I keep losing focus and I don't really like hearing myself sing.' said the tall man with a ruffled quiff.
'S-s-s-sorry' was all that escaped my lips.
'Its alright, I'm Dan by the way, Dan Smith and I'm your new neighbour' he smiled.
'H-h-hi I know who you are, I'm Layla' I shyly replied.
I hesitated to ask him to come in or not, I thought no at first because it would be awkward and I would be star struck and I wouldn't be able to speak. But I did anyway.
'Urm do you want to come in?' I asked slightly blushing.
'Sure I could do with a break' he smiled and welcomed himself in.
He sat on the sofa and said what a nice apartment I had, well 'we' had he didn't know about Tori.
'Tea or Coffee?' I asked him.
'Coffee please love' he replied.
My stomach turned at that moment. Dan Smith just called me 'love'.
'Sure' I said whilst putting the kettle on to boil.
I made his coffee and gave it to him, he thanked me and I sat down beside him, I was nervous but I don't know why. Well I mean I am sitting next to the man I have a huge crush on.
'So Layla, do you live by yourself?' Dan questioned.
'No I live with my friend Tori, she's a lovely girl but she's the opposite to me' I replied staring at the floor.
'What do you mean the opposite to you?' He asked concerned.
'Well she's very loud and outgoing and I'm quiet and shy, I'm noting like her but I wish I was more confident.'
'Layla, that doesn't make you no different to Tori, you're just a more self conscious person like me' he smiled and at this point his hand was rubbing my leg oh my god what do I do.
I giggled and blushed furiously.
'Layla, you are a very beautiful girl you know. You shouldn't be so self conscious.' He said and cupped my cheek with his hand.
'Dan you're also a very attractive man so I don't see why you should be so self conscious too!' I blurted and pulled back removing his hand from my cheek.
At this point our lips were connected. They fitted perfectly like they were made for each other. My whole stomach flipped and flipped again.
Dan pulled away and stared into my eyes, god his eyes were so gorgeous a stormy blue colour. Made me melt.
'I best get back to writing before I lose what I was thinking' Dan said as he stood up.
'Okay Dan, see you around?' I smiled
'Well I am literally your neighbour so yeah and we should go out some time, here's my number' he replied and quickly scribbling his number onto a piece of paper and giving it to me.
We said bye to each other and he was gone. I can't believe it. I had just met Dan Smith the man I have a huge crush on and we kissed. Could life get any better?
Yep, that was the start of it.
