A Knock At The Door (Bastille Fan Fic)

A day at the beach

The guys still had one more day before they started performing around the states. So as it was Kyle's choice yesterday, we all wanted to go to the beach. So that was the plan for the whole day.

We were ready and set to go. We walked to the beach because it wasn't far. The soft warm sand spread in between my toes. It tickled.

We sat near the water, Kyle layed on his towel, Will and Woody sat in their chairs and me and Dan were sat on the sand with our feet in the water.

I could feel a burning sensation in my cheeks as I could sense Dan looking at me. I blushed harder when I looked back at him, he started to blush too.

'Layla?' He spoke.

'Hmm?' I raised an eyebrow.

'What are you going to do when we are performing?' He spoke.

'Oh I don't know, stay here at the villa, take a walk along the beach' I smiled.

He just smiled and nodded.

'You can come you know' he suddenly said.

'But I don't want to get in the way, plus I think I need time on my own. Just for a little bit. There's a lot on my plate at the moment and I need to clear it' I just smiled.

He didn't say anything else. He just gazed into my eyes and nodded and slightly smiled in agreement.

Suddenly Kyle came running over with ice creams for all of us, I have never known anybody to be as childish as that man, not even a child! But that's what I love about him. Oh shit did I just say that...

'Thanks Kyle' me and Dan both chorused taking our ice creams from him.

We all sat here, the sun blazing over us, eating our ice creams before they melted. Dan was licking his ice cream when a seagull came near me and I leant into Dan and his ice cream spread over his face.

'Oh my god Dan I am so sor..' I was cut off by having my ice cream dabbed into my nose.

We both sat there chuckling.

'Whats so funny?' The guys spoke.

We both turned around to face the guys, ice cream splattered all over our faces. They started laughing and then we were all in stitches.

Before we wiped it off of our faces, I got my phone out and snapped a picture of me and Dan and made it my lock screen. I knew it would make me smile every time I go to unlock my phone.

It was really hot so we all decided to go in the water to cool ourselves down. We were splashing each other and dunking each other under the water, well Woody and Kyle was dunking each other.

After about an hour of being in the water we got out and dried ourselves off and headed back to our villa. Today was definitely a day I would never forget.
