A Knock At The Door (Bastille Fan Fic)

Double date

I was planning to get a double date with me and Dan and Kyle and Tori, so I texted Dan.

'Hey Dan, it's me Layla, when you said about going out some time, how about tonight? But bring Kyle if you can, I'm bringing Tori. X'

Seconds later I got a text.

'Hey Lay, yeah sure I can bring Kyle, I've already told the guys about you and they're dying to meet you and Kyle wants to meet Tori. X'

My heart melted when he called me 'Lay' no one ever called me it apart from Tori, even though I've only Dan a day I feel like I've known him forever.

'Great! Meet us in the lobby at 7:30 X'
I sent back.

'Cant wait to see your beautiful face again;) X' Dan replied.

I blushed furiously although he couldn't see me, I knew he knew I was blushing.

'Oh stop it you;) X' I replied.

I put my phone on the table and told Tori about our 'double date' she was more excited to see Kyle as I was to see Dan.

It was now 6:30 and we decided to get ready, I couldn't chose what to wear but in the end, I chose to wear a short black dress with a short sleeved cardigan and my black converse, I was more of a trainers than heels type of girl.

Tori chose to wear, a stretchy skirt and a floral blouse and black heels, god she looked so perfect compared to me.

It was 7:29 so we headed down to the lobby where we was met by Dan and Kyle, holy shit they were perfect.

This time I wasn't as awkward as before, maybe because Kyle and Tori was there too, who knows.

We got in Kyle's car and headed to a nice restaurant a few blocks away. Dan and Kyle said the food was lovely and they always are there.

'Smith, table for four?' Dan asked the waiter.

'Right this way Mr Smith' we all followed the waiter to our table. This place was so posh and everyone was ever so polite.

Tori and Kyle seemed to get on well, they were just chatting away to each other about their love for cats, weird kids.

Me and Dan just sat there looking at each other, it was a good few minutes before one of us spoke.

'So Lay, how old are you?' Dan asked.

'Im 24 I've not long finished uni and now I'm living my life' I smiled

Dan smiled when I said 24 oh god.

'Im 27,' he grinned. 'what did you study in uni?' He asked

'Mostly English Lit.' I grinned knowing he did English Lit in Leeds university.

'Wow, I did English Lit at Leeds university! What uni did you go to?' He was so curious.

'Leeds' I looked at my plate at that point and peered up at Dan, he and I both were blushing furiously.

Our food came and we ate and left.

We were sitting in Kyle's car outside the block of apartments when Tori spoke

'Kyle do you want to come on for a bit? You can stay the night if you want I mean it is late' she blushed and fluttered her eyes.

'Sure I'd love to' Kyle agreed. Looks like there's someone staying tonight.

'Dan you can come in if you want you know, so I don't have to third wheel on my own' I winked at him

He agreed, when we got out of the car he took my hand and we walked to the apartment hand in hand. They also fitted perfectly. I swear we was made for each other.
