Aradia didn't have a mommy. She just had Damara. The stupid, Japanese, teenage slut. Aradia knew just a little too much than a seven year old should know. It wasn't her fault, it was Damaras. Sometimes, she felt as though her big sister only cared about her clients rather than herself. She would rather live with a goat then Damara.
She didn't sleep any that night with the noises coming from her older sisters room. She didn't mind though, sleep was for the weak... But sometimes she wished she could just get atleats two hours of sleep. Before she knew it the sun was slowly creeping up and it was 5:00.
The girl sat up in her bed and stretched, rubbing her sleepless eyes until her vision was clear. When the light poured through her velvet curtains you could see her features clearly. She was very beautiful. Long, midnight colored hair, and brownish, almost red eyes. Her skin was a milky pale and her fingernails were always painted a pinkish maroon color.
She hopped out of bed and opened her closet, where she took out a black skirt that reached her ankles and a red shirt. She put them on and layered a black knit sweater over her shirt. The sweater was a gift from her mother before she died.
She yawned before going outside and petting her pet goat. Yeah, most girls her age, had a kitten or a puppy, The Terezi girl even had a bearded dragon, but Aradia loved her pet goat. Not because it was the only thing that Damara could afford, but because she was very close. She poured the goats food into the tin used to feed it and went back into her room to brush her hair.
"Anata finnally-me o samashi, Ohayō imōto." Damara Greeted her younger sister and smiled, her plump lips were a light maroon color and her long black hair was up into two buns on either side of her hair, in her teeth was a blunt, not caring if she was smoking in front of her baby sister, or that she was smoking inside the house, she wore a very short maroon dress with long sleeves.
"Yoi do no yōna asa.." Aradia muttered back and opened the small mini fridge, taking out a bottle of water and glaring at her sister before drinking some. Damara was used to this kind of behavior so she just shrugged and went to re do her hair so that she could take Aradia to school.
Damara picked Aradia up and set her in the fron passenger seat, on a couple thick books so she would appear old enough. She smiled and sat in the drivers seat, revving the engine up. Aradia sighed, as they pulled out of the driveway and got onto the road. She watched the passing cars and buildings, contently, ignoring the usual man in the car next to them, staring down at her sisters cleavage through the windows.
When they got into the schools parking lot, Damara sighed in relief she hated long car rides with her sister, beacause of all the negative energy Aradia put off toward her. She parked beside the Vantas's Red minivan and got out, going to the other side of the car to open her sisters car door. Not to her surprise, Aradiahad already gotten out and was walking to the entrance herself, her red messenger bag slung to her side.
"Gakkō de yoiichinichiwo sugosu!" Damara called after her baby sister and waved, smiling. Aradia scoffed and didn't reply, going inside. Once inside, she went to her classroom, where half of her class already was. The teacher smiled at her in greeting and once Aradia was turned around, the teachers face turned to that of pity for the poor girl. She always looked semi sad in the mornings.
"Aradia, please allow me to give you these flowers." Equius called to her and held out some weeds from the playground.
"No thank you." she told him and walked to her corner where she would stay until it was time to go outside. When the teacher dismissed them she walked slowly out the door, screaming and laughing kids, pushing past her. She walked to her usual spot, and climbed the tree. When she got to a satisfying spot she sat down and reached into her messenger bag to pull out a book. She read for about twenty minutes when she heard rustling down from the branch beside her. Thinking it was a squirrel she went back to her reading, only to be interrupted by the sound once again. She looked down onto the branch to see Sollux, climbing onto the branch she occupied.
"Hey, Aradia." he greeted her and smiled.
"Hello, Sollux." she said back and attempted a half smile.
"Whatcha reading?" he asked her and looked over her shoulder.
"Its called Manga.. my big sister baught it for me." she told him.
"Manga? I think ive heard of that..: he said and smiled.
"If you wouldn't mind, im trying to-"
"Let me thay thomething firtht!" he said quickly and she nodded. "I-I- I THINK YOUR REALLY PREETY AND THMART AND I THINK THAT YOU THOULD LET ME HOLD YOUR HAND OR THOMETHING NITHE LIKE THAT!" He told her quickly and blushed acorss his face.
Aradia looked at the flustered boy in surprise before, smiling. A genuine smile. Not a half smile like she usually gives people, but a real smile. For the first time in years she laughed. She then reached over and grabbed Sollux's hand in her own and gave it a squeeze, the smile not leaving her face. Sollux, still blushing looked a their intertwined hands and back at her.
"Your so cute, Sollux."
"A-ah-ah-ah-"
