Rose Lalonde slowly opened her sleepy eyes. The sun was trying it's damnest to peek through her light violet curtains. She laid there for a moment, trying to fully awaken herself. Eventually, the sound of her mother stumbling around downstairs, motivated her to sit up. Her black cat, Jasper was still lazily snoozing at the foot of her bed.
"Rosssiieee." Her mother called, trying to make her way upstairs to awaken her, already awake daughter, and get her ready for school.
The blonde headed girl sighed, pulling her small body out of the bed and opened the door to her bedroom for her mother to come into.
Her mother, who had several bloody mary's since waking up, smiled happily at her daughter. "Time to get ready for school, Rosie." she slurred, setting her daughter at her vanity and getting her some clothes from the closet. She set her glass down on the bedside table and laid the clothes down carefully on the bed. She took her nightgown off, over her head and slipped a white shirt, with a purple squiddle on it over her head, and a little white skirt, over her milky legs.
Rose's eyes were still groggy, as her mother rolled laced white socks over her feet and buckled shiny, black Mary Jane's over the socks.
"You look so 'te." Roxy told her daughter, pinching her cheeks softly, meaning to say "You looke so cute."
Rose offered her tipsy mother a smile as she fluffed her hair, brushing it with a purple brush. Her mother adorned it with a black hairband and kissed her nose.
"Almost done." she smiled and put a soft coat of black lipstick on her daughters lips, much like hers. Since Rose was four she had been putting the small coat of lip shade on her daughter, like her mother had done to her. I guess, you could call it a family thing.. Maybe.

After Rose's mother had fed her breakfast, (Burnt toast and some orange juice, almost givng Rosie a sippy cup of her own red drink,) And buckled her into her carseat, she had buckled her own seat belt, in the driver seat, setting her coffee cup into the car's cup holder, and rolling out of their fairly large home.
When they arrived at Skaia Kindergarten. Her mother unstrapped her daughter and held her hand, walking her into the building.
"Jade!' Rose exclaimed, when seeing her best friend, already playing building blocks with John and Terezi, a fuming Vriska in the corner.
"Ma'm, are you alright?" the teacher asked, as Rose's mother waved a hand to her daughter, almost knocking over some building blocks a kid in a purple cloak thing and a girl wearing silly goggles to school were playing with.
The teacher sighed, watching as the lady hiccuped and left.
