You and Princeton have been the best of friends for five years. But something's been off with him , you just couldn't put your finger on it . He seemed kind of nervous the other day when you saw each other , so you invited him over for dinner to see what's up.
Your at the house , chilling in your fav fringe tshirt , leggings and house slippers. Finishing seasoning the chicken alfredo , when you hear the doorbell go off. "He's here ..." you sigh as you rush to open the door . " Uh hey... " "come in .... dinners finished , go fix your plate . you know how it is in my house." "I know I know ! I cook but I ain't a damn butler , you can fix your own plate " he mimicking you in a childish tone. "look afropuff ... fix your plate , and go sit down ". You both grab a plate and go eat in the living room. "Wow ... you really outdid yourself tonight girl haha ... dinner was amazing ". "well thank you ! But umm... let's get down to business love ..... what's been up ? You haven't been yourself lately . Tell me what's goin on". He gives you a nervous look .... "uh it's just .... I .... I just can't say". "Princeton .... please ... just say it . " I just don't want our connection and relationship to change... so I can't . You may look at me different". "You've been my friend for how long? Do you really think.." "OKAY OKAY ! YOU WANNA KNOW?! FINE ! I think I'm... in love with you ... THERE HAPPY!" You pause for a minute .... "really? that's what's been up? You really thought that ... prince ..." "if you don't feel the same way I understand .,.. ". You get up and hug him "Boy .... I've been waiting a long time for you to tell me that .... but I would like some time to make sure that what I'm feeling is-" He smiles a bit .... then kisses your lips lightly . "I get ya ... well talk about it later".... he gets up and walks towards the door "catch ya later love" You walk him to the door and hug goodbye.... "gosh.... wow".
