Who she really is

Her face was nothing extraordinary. Her lips did not make you dream of them at night,

Her skin was not a colour you fussed over, her bone structure was not eye catching-though suited her perfectly. The feature that stuck out most is her eyes,

It is not only the unique shape that somehow frames her face,

or her eyelashes that is the perfect shade of black- so much so that it creates a natural eyeliner. Or the fact that the lashes is too the perfect length. There is no denying that the colour of her eyes is a mystery of it's own,

the way it yearns to be brown but knows that it's meant to be black. It is but mostly what her eyes hold,

The way you can gaze into them and see her for who she really is,What she truly feels.

Some people guard their emotions so that they cannot slip through from their eyes,

She doesn't,Simply because she feels no one would even take the time to really observe her,

that no one would bother to see what she really feels.

Many look but they do not see it,

The pain that fills those eyes,The pain that covers so much of her beauty that even she can no longer see it.

The mistrust, swaying her in so many directions she has chosen to stay right where she is.

But the thing that overwhelms you the most when you really look into those eyes is the blame,

It has taken over her life, her vision, her decisions.

It never leaves her busy and bruised mind,

the excuses,

the reasons-all count against her. They refuse to be silenced yet they utter but the same thing...

That she is to blame for all that strays in her life.

It consumes her, it breaks her, but it refuses to leave her.

Her eyes hold many things, things that not even I could begin to uncover, things that haunt her so immensely that they do not even reveal themselves to those that take the time to look.

Only her lips can reveal those,

But it takes both trust and faith.

Things she either lacks or has completely lost along her abandoned journey. Don't guard your eyes, let it show,

Even if you have to cry a river, it's all with reason,

So let it flow.
