i think the premise of the book is really good and has some strong ideas - i've never been a big fan of fantasy but the first chapter of this really took my fancy, obviously if your a fan of this genre then you would probably enjoy it too. the first chapter did leave me with questions which is good for the reader as it makes us want to read more resulting in a lot more people enjoying your story, all in all i actually really enjoyed reading this.

the only thing i would say is there is quite a big information splurge at the beginning, maybe retain some information as i did get a little confused - also spacing out into more clear paragraphs for me makes the story look more inviting and easier to read!

to conclude i would give it a solid seven out of ten, i think we also need some work on character development but i'm sure that would come later in the story.
