-Chapter 1 ~ pilot -

::::::::::

"Ronnie wake up now! You're going to be late and I am in no mood to deal with getting a call from your principle again!"

Ah, what a loving mom waking me up beautifully for school.

"Morning to you too mother" I grunted and got up to get ready. Oh how i hated mornings, especially being woken up like that.

"Come on, your father and I are -"

"step-father." I couldn't help but butt in.

"You know once you cut this attitude of yours and give him a chance, I'm sure you guys would actually get along. Anyways, we won't be back till very late since we're going out to dinner with our clients so I expect you to be responsible and come home on time."

"yeah yeah whatever." I shook my hand and went to my bathroom to change.

Why am I not surprised they won't be home tonight? I mean it's not like I care anymore, they're never home but I like it better that way. It practically feels like I live alone from them and their busy jobs. They travel too much for me to keep tract.

My mom's too gone to even notice my changing behavior. It's actually quite sad how depressed I am on the inside. Sure the outside seemed like I am happy, but no one is genuinely smart enough to see through those walls. Everyone is buying it even my mom and so called "friends". It's actually really weird when I think about it...I'm considered all hot and "popular" at my school yet I don't actually care for any of them and I'm positive they feel the same about me. So why do they claim to be my friends? The answer always is their social status.

No one cares...ever.

These are just some of the many thoughts I think every single morning.

"whatever, I need to get dressed." I said to myself.

It was still only September since I just started my senior year about two weeks ago, so it was definitely hot outside. I just put on some cut off shorts, a cute blue shirt, and my vans. It was cute yet casual... but in all honesty I could care less about my appearance. Yes, I do try and look my best but thats only so no one will bug me to why I am not looking decent.

I quickly finished taking in one last look.

Of course the minute I go downstairs there awaits my so called step-father, Dave, sitting while eating his breakfast.

"Good morning Veronica." He annoyingly smiled

"Don't call me that, it's Ronnie."

I absolutely hated when people called me Veronica and no matter how many times I tell him to call me Ronnie he still bothers to call me Veronica; just to piss me off of course.

Before he could snap back with a rude remark my mom came in the room and of course he acted all sweet and innocent to me in front of her.

"Would you like some coffee dear?"

"Dear?" I scoffed.

"Ronnie." my mother gave me a stern look signalling me to stop.

"whatever, I'm going to school now, bye." I waved them off and grabbed my bag to leave.

As I was getting into my car I noticed something new going on next door. A new neighbor I suppose? My question was answered when a moving truck pulled into their driveway. I'm surprised someone can finally afford that house. It's the only house on this street that is somewhat richer than mine.

A boy caught my eye though. Looked about my age getting on to what seemed a motorcycle? The thought of riding one of those things haunts me. Not only because of the accident but... well never mind that.

For some reason I stood in front of my car just watching him get onto his motorcycle. I probably looked like a creep if anyone was watching.

Just as I was about to look away he turned around, crap he caught me looking at him. A smirk was shown on his face as he started his motorcycle and drove off and it looks like he's headed to my school. Please tell me he isn't in my class..

"Oh shit." I looked at my phone and noticed I'm already late.

"Stupid boy for getting me distracted...although he sure is hot."
Shit I hope no one heard that. Gotta stop talking to myself people will think I'm crazy or something.

**********

I pulled into the schools parking lot and searched for my usual parking spot.

I was almost a quarter in the spot when a motorcycle rushed in and took it. If I hadn't stomped on my brakes quickly then who knows what would have happened. One things for sure my car would have gotten hit badly though.

"What the hell!" I screamed in my car.

I got out slamming my door and standing right by him.

"Listen dickhead you took my spot!" I yelled.

He took off his helmet and to my surprise it was the same guy who smirked at me this morning. Great.

"Now now, no need for name calling babe. You're just upset I was here first." He gave me one of his signature smirks that I was already accustomed to.

I took a minute to take in his appearance. He had perfectly tanned skin covered in a couple tattoos and his jet black hair perfectly stood up. His smile was contagious and if I wasn't so angered in the situation I would have given him a smile back.

"Hey aren't you the girl who was creeping on me this morning?"

Great so he did notice, I was sort of hoping he forgot about it or something.

"I wasn't creeping... I was just looking at your.. uh motorcycle." I shyly answered not knowing what to say. Sure it was a stupid excuse but I'm not here to impress I just want my fricken spot.

"So are you gonna give me my spot back or not? You know I actually have to pay for it." It's true. This school makes us pay for every thing and one of those things is which parking spot we pick out. This so happened to be mine.

"Hmm, ask me again tomorrow." he smiled and got off from his motorcycle knowing he had just ticked me off.

I stood there speechless as he headed towards the school. What the hell was that supposed to mean? This is seriously going to be a weekly thing now to whoever gets this spot? Being the competitive person that I am, I was going to beat him at his own game. And I will get my spot back.
