Chapter 10 ~ Special Work ~

::::::::::

"Promise."

That was the last word Zayn said to me before we drove off. It's been about 15 minutes since then. I have no idea what I'm getting myself into but is it bad i'm curious? Of course I'm still scared as hell but who wouldn't be in this position.

Yeah we hate each other but I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel safe around him. I don't know what is it but I did feel safe at times however the nerves were building up the closer we got.

He started driving into a rather sketchy type of neighborhood. I hadn't realized on the way here how the environment was slowly fading into a dark alleyway. Finally what seemed like forever, Zayn parked his motorcycle or what I like to call it; death machine, in front of a dark building. It was rather large but completely dark. I've never seen a building with no windows or lights from the outside but here I stood. Zayn got off the motorcycle then held my hand as he helped me off as well.

"Don't say anything while we're in there. Don't give anyone of them any attention and just stay right next to me the whole time."

He was still holding my hand from when he helped me off the ride but I didn't want to let go. We slowly started walking closer to the building before Zayn pulled out a key. Does he own this place or something? Right before we were about to walk into the building I was engulfed with a rush of nerves.

I stopped in my spot and just stood there while Zayn tried to pull me in with him. He noticed I stopped moving and turned around with his eyebrows furrowed.

"What's wrong?"

"I'm scared." I put my head down in embarrassment. I'm not one to be afraid so I couldn't handle feeling so vulnerable.

I felt his hand on my chin and he slowly lifted it up to reach his eye level.

"There's nothing to be afraid about, I've got you."

I couldn't find the words to speak so I simply nodded my head and we continued our way into the building. It was dark at first but the more we walked in, the more light was shown. We walked down a long dark hallway with minimal lighting radiating from the ceiling. I started to hear voices, rough manly voices. They were coming from a room Zayn had just knocked on. Oh joy.

The laughing immediately stopped once I heard rough footsteps approach the door then open it. There in front of us stood a man who looked about 30 and very built. He had dark brown hair and had a frightening demeanor until he saw us and gave a uncomfortable smirk.

"Well nice of you to finally show Zayn...and looks like you've brought a friend along."

His eyes looked me up and down and I immediately felt uncomfortable and hid behind Zayn a little more while still holding his hand.
