-Chapter 5 ~ where are you? ~
::::::
I was surprised to find no one in my parking space this morning. Of course I was relieved Zayn wasn't there but I couldn't help the curiosity that lingered my mind. I don't understand my sudden urge to know where he is, I guess I was just hoping to see him from this past weekend.
"Earth to Ronnie, you there?" Lindsey's voice woke me up from my thoughts.
"Yeah sorry, what were you saying?"
Before I knew it she began retelling me the whole story of how Melanie cheated on her boyfriend with Jason. Honestly if I didn't listen to this story the first time she told it I'm definitely not listening to it now. I could give two shits about this class anyways and their problems don't appeal to me like Lindsey.
Though when she even brought up Jason I couldn't help but feel uneasy. The thought of him still disturb me and the fact that at that same party where our whole scene happened he still managed to find time to hook up with Melanie just shows how much of a scum he is.
"Ronnie, are you okay? You aren't even paying attention to what I'm saying!"
Damn it. I zoned off again, these girls probably think i'm high or something.
"uh yeah, i'm fine."
The amount of times I've actually said i'm fine to these girls is unbelievable. I'm actually starting to believe I'm fine by the number of times its left my mouth.
"She's probably still hungover from Jason's party!"
No, unlike you I didn't drink. I do appreciate Brittany's excuse for my odd behavior though. I don't really understand why I'm zoning off today. Maybe its the fact Zayn isn't here or that I'm still not over what happened at the party.
"Must have had a rough night then." Lindsey gave me one of her cynical smirks that tend to frighten me.
If she only knew.
******
It's been a week and Zayn still isn't at school. I shouldn't be so paranoid but all I can think of is what if he's hurt? Yeah right, everyone is afraid of him so I highly doubt that.
My last class just finished and i'm contemplating whether or not to check up on Zayn. I mean we are neighbors so I could just blame it on school.
"Hey Ronnie! We're all going out for a bite wanna come?" A group of girls all looked at me with wide eyes in hopes I would join. I don't actually understand why they want me to come seeing as I would barely talk to them. I feel bad every time I decline their offer but I was actually hoping to go and check up on Zayn. Besides it would just be me surrounded with a bunch of fake rich girls, not too appealing.
"I'm actually going to have to pass girls, sorry!" They pouted and said next time as they clicked away on their heels.

Just ring the damn bell Ronnie, come on.
I can't believe i'm having an argument with myself on Zayn's porch right now. I was nervous as hell, I mean why am I even checking up on him? Its not like we're friends or anything.
My heart stops when I press the doorbell. This was a mistake I shouldn't have came damn it damn it damn it da--
"Veronica?"
When I finally looked up there Zayn stood at his doorstep absolutely bare from the top showing his few tattoos on his chest which I had never noticed before. His boxer line shown right above his dark gray sweatpants that were incredibly hanging low. I did notice his knuckles were red, bloodstained. Those couldn't be from Jason because they weren't even visible before.
