Chapter 3: Mysterious People, On The Move

Aira's POV

"What do we do now, Aira?" asked the person in front of me.
"It's not like we can just prance around, parading like a--" Faye states, but Ella cut her off.
"Like a flying fish?" She ended.
"Yeah, exactly." Faye confirmed.
"We have to get to Mytharis." I answered.
"How?" I hesitated first, because. I was not ready to tell them my secret passage.
"There's a tower of that connects the two worlds, but it'll take us about 2-3 days walk without stopping."
"That long? Is there any other way?"
"No..." I lied.
"We shall leave tonight, a full moon. It will help us to travel faster. There are 3 main kinds of winged. First is the Royals, next in rank is the Elida. They are the normal ones, if you could call it that. The next are the Dark Ones, the dreaded ones who are in war with our world. Now the Royals and the Elida can use the power of the full moon for anything, if they are strong enough to do what they want. We can use the power of the moon to speed up our travels a little bit." I stated.
The power of the moon is greater than anything else, but we are thankful that the Dark Ones can't use it. The Dark Ones are those who were banished from the land for their evil doings.

Faye's POV

After our planning for tonight, I headed home with Ella, since her house is just a few blocks away from mine.
All that's happened today had surely spun my head around. First I'm a flying fish mutant, next I'm the Destined to save the world! What the?!
"What do you think?" Ella snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Huh, what? Sorry, I wasn't listening." I apologized.
"It's okay. I know a lot's been happening lately, and I can't say I'm not affected by it. I asked if you'd want to go to the mall to shop for a few clothes for the trip tonight."
"Okay, that sounds good to me. Let's go to McDonalds for lunch today. I missed hanging out with you."
