It's Quiet - A Poem

It's quiet.
The scary kind
The kind that seeps into your mind
Twisting and turning and clawing and scratching,
To find,
To find something to latch on, something to hold on,
Something to make you blind,
Blind to the world around you blind to the family who's here for you, blind.
It's quiet.
But no, not the soft kind
The rough kind, the tough kind,
The one that will throw you back and forth,
Between emotions and feelings,
With no signs of retreating,
Only wishes of destruction,
Throwing obstacles and obstructions,
Delaying you and betraying you from the peace that you've lost.
It's quiet.
Quiet yet defining and loud,
Blocking out sound
Replacing the night with the dark corners of your mind,
Twisting your views, your perception,
Pulling you down past deceptions,
Past distractions, past reactions,
Till there's nothing.
It's quiet.
But no not the peaceful kind,
The one that calls out, shouting and screaming,
That your life has no meaning,
That you're a waste, that you're gone, that there's nothing to live on,
You're going down.
Down like it wants you to,
Down into, your mind.
The mind that would once fight.
But now, it's just quiet

This was just based on my thoughts tonight, it doesn't have much meaning or structure, but it's something :)

Even though I basically just described me giving up, I don't want you guys to. Stay Alive and don't let 'the quiet' invade your happiness. You deserve to be happy. Remember that. ❤️
