Chapter 2 And So It Begins

Riley's P.O.V~

By the time I got home, I was already way beyond exhausted and I couldn't wait to just jump on my bed and hibernate for the rest of my life. The first day of school really took its toll on me. The one good think about today was meeting new people especially Talon. I can't believe I just said that! He's just some arrogant narcissist that is very attractive, STOP thinking about him that way. Though, I wonder why he started talking to me today. I guess that will remain a mystery because I plan to never talk to him again.

Talon's P.O.V~

Last period P.E class was so much fun because I got to destroy the other team. The only person on my team that I actually wanted to choose just for her to be by my side is Riley. When I saw her just sitting there not caring about P.E, I had this urge to choose her. Although she didn't actually do much, I was glad I chose her because I would be able to show off. Jeez, I sound like some lovesick girl. I really need to shake off my thoughts about Riley so that my friends don't suspect anything. I would hate it if I got teased even though there is about a 1% chance of that happening.

Though I have to wonder why I'm so obsessed with Riley. Stop..... I just need to concentrate on something else and forget about Riley. The last thing I want right now is a relationship after I just got out of that horrible one with my ex girlfriend Sara who is also in my class which makes things awkward.

Next Day at School~

Riley's P.O.V~

I arrive at school and I already wanna go home. Just the idea of school makes me tired and plus having to sit next to Talon all day just makes it even worse. Remember the Plan Riley: Avoid eye contact and Ignore him. If I use this plan, I should be able to get through the day without having to interact with him. Once I got into the classroom I knew that my plan would definitely fail because all I see is Talon sitting in my seat and smirking at me. Ugh..... that dude needs to mind his own business and get off my back. As calmly as I can, I walk over to my seat and politely ask him to get out of my seat which he of course then said,"make me." Because he was being way to annoying, I decided to pull the chair from him causing him to fall. Then I quietly sat down and gave him a glare. The only thing going through my mind at that point was " Why does God make such attractive humans but then give them horrible attitudes. Although now that I think about it I guess it's to even out the person so that nobody is 100% perfect." Seriously I need to get over my attraction to him....

The first class of the day was social studies. The teacher began class by telling us that we have a project due next week on any famous historical figure that we choose. Even though that it was the first week of school, she wanted to make sure that we wouldn't slack off in the beginning of the year. She then said that she would choose our partners so that people wouldn't just slack off with their friends. Right after Alice was picked to work with Tim, I heard my name and I was horrified when I heard that Talon was my partner. Immediately I knew that I was in big trouble having to work in a group project together.

My social studies teacher Mrs.Nia gave us time to work on our project in class with our partners. Since Talon and I already sat next to each other we just stayed there and started our research. He had a look of seriousness on his face so I decided to turn my head and look what he researched but I found out that he was only concentrated because he was playing a game. Typical, he expects me to do all the work while he sits there and plays games. Well that's not how it is in my world so I go over and shut down his laptop and tell him to actually research materials for our project on Abraham Lincoln.

He looked really pissed off but I decided to ignore it and continue my work. Reluctantly he started looking up information and created a slideshow presentation for our project. the rest of the day flew by like a blur. Then after i finished my homework and did my night routine I texted Alice for awhile about the events that happened today and went to bed.
