there was this endless parade of betweens in her life.
the boy.
the independence.
the heart.
the mind.
the boy was this crazed waltz of yeses and nos and flirting and silence that she didn't know how to let go of.
her independence skipped to the beat of its own song, sometimes able to stand on its own two feet dressed in red lipstick and leather jackets but sometimes it wavered and was raw with insecurities.
the heart was this throbbing mess of blood in her chest that betrayed her at every twist in the bend constantly lurking and evading and taunting and telling her things she didn't want to hear.
her head was this maze that she would never piece together because of the way the boy, her independence, and her heart pulled and contorted it.
