Beyoncé's P.O.V.

"Are you calmed down now?"

She looked at me for a few seconds before slowly nodding her head.

I nodded to her as well before looking down at her hands still resting on my waist.

There was an abrupt knock on the door grabbing our attention. Quickly I slid out of her grasp walking over to the door and opening it.

Ayesha stood with a worried look on her face, along with a cop behind her as well.

"Coach they got him out but they want to speak to you." she spoke fast, but her attention was clearly on Onika.

"Um, do you want me to drive Onika home or..."

"I am going to have to ask her a few questions as well." the cop spoke.

"It's ok Ayesha I'll take care of her, thank you sweetie." She nodded meekly before walking off.

I then turned my attention to the cop.

"Come in." I spoke before closing the door behind him.

I allowed him to sit in the chair and I leaned against my desk.

He scribbled a few things down intently in a notepad before he looked up at us.

"Alright, so if I am not mistaking Ms. Onika, you know this man somehow? You're friend told me he is your step father."

She sighed heavily before nodding her head.

Her step dad? I didn't even know she had a stepdad.

"So your mother is in the picture as well?"

"She's... Sick. But yeah I guess..." something didn't seem to right about her saying that.

"So was this behavior tonight out of the ordinary? Or is this normal."

She chewed on her lip for a minute with her arms folded and gazed at the ground.

She looks nervous, or uncomfortable. Like she really does not want to be here at all.

"He, um... It's- sometimes... He gets a little angry I guess." she was suddenly stumbling over her words.

"And you mentioned a brother earlier, how old is he?"

"Six." she quickly said.

"The threats he made, has he ever exhibited his aggression on you or your brother?"

"No he's never touched my brother."

My heart jumped in my chest when I only heard her say "my brother". I always suspected something, but it ceases to make it any easier hearing the truth come out right in front of you.

"And what about you? Has he ever assaulted you?"

She sighed heavily rolling her eyes.

"Look that doesn't even matter I don't even live there anymore neither does my brother I'm 18-"

"Ma'am... I need to know if he has ever hurt you."

"No. I mean he may have pushed me around or hit me but it never hurt-"

"Listen, if this man is causing you harm you don't have to protect him, I am only here to help yo-" he tried to speak gently but Onika refused to listen.

"I don't live there! We don't live there! We live with our uncle-"

"Ok but if this man is dangerous we have to know what is going on so we can lock him up. Has he ever hurt your mother as well? Is he the reason she might be sick?"
