My voice harshly cracked due to not drinking water in 3 days, as the guy in front of me tired to hold back a snicker. My eyes narrowed and I crossed my arms. He stopped "trying" to hold back a snicker and crouched down to meet my eyes "sorry. Didn't mean to offend you..." Why was he being so nice? None of the scientists were ever nice to me....wait...this guy...he was to young to be a scientist! Ok...now I'm even more scared....out of impulse I backed up until my back slammed against the cold metal bars of my cage. The guy titled his head and frowned. I don't care if he felt bad. I needed to be safe and cautious. I can't trust anyone. My eyes scanned the guy as I pulled my knees to my chest. He opened his mouth and he seemed like he was going to say something but then out of no where I saw the flutter of a white lab coat and then the guy was thrown into my cage. I tried to hold back a groan as I looked over at him. But my breath caught in my throat as a mask came off his face and clattered to the ground. My eyes widened as I tried to process what the hell just happened. And as if a switch had been flipped I was transported into the past.

Was I having a flashback? Probably. I looked around. I was still in a cage, but it felt different some how...I felt different. I looked down at my hands. They were extremely tiny. Then I heard a voice. It was deep and husky with a hint of young age. "May?" The voice said my name as if it was a question. I looked up and to my surprise I was looking into the deep green eyes of a young boy. From my lips came a high pitched shriek and I jumped back. I began to tremble out of pure fear as the boy crawled over to me. "That's your name right? May?" He looked at me curiously. I didn't say a word. I'm not talking to this kid. He scares me. I barley know him anyway. And I can't just go around telling people my name, he could be a random human. I hugged my knees to my chest and I hid my face. "Hey it's ok May!" I felt a gentle hand rub my hair. Why is he so nice to me? I don't understand! For some reason my body surged with red hot anger. I looked up at him and took at good look at his face. He was actually pretty cute for a little kid. I looked into his dark green eyes and my heart began to pound quickly. I felt my face heat up and my hand were shaking. And then everything just shattered.
