Emma wasn't sure how long she had been stood there, just looking down at Hook's still, absent body but she was shocked out of all realities as she watched his eyes flicker a couple times. She covered her mouth with her hands as she quickly slipped out of Hook's vision as she moved behind him into the kitchen and started making some coffee. She didn't really know why she had been starring at him exactly but she'd found this whole thing a little strange and new to her. She'd recently been feeling like she had to justify why exactly she was doing all of this especially since by now she was receiving many comments from the residents of Storybrooke asking her she was doing this. Of course that included Mary-Margaret, Henry and David but she suspected that Henry already knew even if she didn't really know herself yet because he seemed to give her a knowing look.

Stirring new coffee, Emma hadn't even remembered that Hook was waking up until she heard him stirring. Emma sighed slightly as she waited for him to come to, and ask where he was and what was going on - it seemed to happen every time he passed out like that. "swan - swan" Emma heard him call out. And with that Emma knew that the coast would be clear and that he wasn't hallucinating right now because he'd called for her and not his dead true love Milah.

Picking up her mug of coffee she came through to the living room and placed the coffee mug on the coffee table as she knelt down in front of the coffee table and in front of Hook. He looked just as pale as he had done a couple minutes ago, if she didn't know any better she would have guessed he was lying there lifeless because in her time she'd seem him in a bad way but this was getting really bad. "hook" she smiled at him as she watched him carefully. "Emma" he paused as he seemed to be gasping for air but simply looked into Emma's eyes. "how did I come to be here?" he asked her again and Emma was now used to how to answer these questions in the most efficient way since being through this process enough times to know the quickest way. "You were hurt, I brought you here. just try not to move too much" She explained and she looked at him and considered checking his dressing over his stomach wound but decided that it might be better to wait until he was a little more awake before she started proding him and poking at him probably causing him more pain. "wait - let me get you some water" she said realizing that he must have been dehydrated so she quickly got up and headed into the kitchen and fetched him a glass of water. Returning as quick as she could she held the glass to his mouth so that he could drink from it. Not that she thought he was incapable but she figured it would be easier and she figured that he'd be in less pain, the less he moved around. Placing the glass behind her on the table she watched him, almost hoping some color would return to his face but it didn't.

"how do you feel" Emma asked as she squinted her face a little, watching him he was trying to get comfortable as he shifted his body upwards which resulted in him pulling his eyes shut tightly and whincing in pain. She could see the pain in his eyes as he re-opened his eyes but he didn't look at her. "like someone shot me with an arrow" Hook said still not looking at her. "well that's half right" Emma said as she continued to watch him, wondering why he was refusing to look at her. All of a sudden Hook had tried to pull himself upwards, he had almost made it too if it hadn't of been for his crippling pain sensations running all the way through him which caused him to just fall back on the couch and with that his failed attempt to get up and leave had failed. "whoa whoa-" Emma protested as she watched him try to get up and fall back down flat again. She didn't like to think what it would have done to his wound and she could tell that it would be no easy feat for Hook, given the pain it would have caused him. "Hook wait - what are you trying to do?" This time Hook turned his head only as he looked into her eyes and simply said "Henry" and Emma just gave him a sympathetic look.  "it's okay, it's okay he's with mary-margaret and he's fine. but you are not. and you're not going anywhere" Emma told him as she stood firm on that fact because she would do everything in her power to have him not moving around, his wound needed time to heal and she didn't want to say anything to hinder that process or his recovery so she didn't say anything more on the Henry side of things and wouldn't say anything else because if she knew Hook she knew it wouldn't make him want to stay there. Hook swallowed hard as he tried to accept what Emma had said. "you need to stay lying down - please. and I should check your dressing" Emma told him. "if you must" Hook mumbled. Emma half smiled as got herself up and headed into the kitchen to get the supplies she needed to check Hook's wound.

Emma had been gone a matter of seconds, but as she collected everything from the kitchen she needed to clean Hook's wound and turned around and started heading back of the direction of the couch and Hook she noticed he had somehow got himself on the floor and was trying to move. Dropping everything she ran over to him. and knelt beside him on the foor she sighed as she joked "trying to escape so soon" but Hook did not look impressed. "I shouldn't be here, I can't be here" Hook said in a matter of fact kind of way,not looking at her as Emma just watched him carefully, trying to understand what he'd have meant by that. "wha-no. I'm not giving you an option Hook, come on" she told him as she placed a hand on his back as she tried to help him up because there was no doubt in her mind that him being in this position would be causing him immense pain right now. "I can't, I have to leave" Hook still protested and with that Emma released her grip of him for a second as she began to take his protests seriously. A big part of her wanted to ask why, why he was protesting so much and if it had to do with Milah but she couldn't find it in her to actually speak those words. "You shouldn't have to do this" Hook finally said after a short silence between the pair, as their eyes met he swallowed hard and Emma gave him a respectful smile but told him "you're right I don't have to do this, but I am so work with me here" and within seconds Hook was finally allowing her to help him back up, with her arm around his waist to help him up he had his arm around her shoulder and after some difficulty the pair were standing. Emma breathed out. "Okay I'm moving you to my bed, because I don't want anything like this happening again and you will be more comfortable there" she told him, looking up at him to see his smirk again, on his pale, weakened face it was still evedent though. That was the Killian she knew. Within a couple minutes he was resting on her bed and she was trying to make him as comfortable as possible before preparing to clean his wound and change his dressing, something which would cause him more pain.
