Since moving Hook into her bedroom Emma hoped this would help speed up the healing process, she wasn't naive in the least but things were getting a little tense in her tiny little apartment in Storybrooke so the sooner Hook was better, the sooner he could leave and of course then she wouldn't have to play nurse anymore which would be best for everyone involved.

Picking up the glass of water from the kitchen counter and collecting Hook's pills in her other hand, off she went to give him the good news that, these would help with the pain. She didn't think he would like it exactly but she didn't expect him to fight her so much. As she entered her estranged bedroom she eyed Hook moving around on her bed. He seemed to be tossing and turning and at first she assumed he was asleep and that she would have to wake him up but as she drew closer and placed the pain medicine and glass of water on the counter beside her bed she sat on the edge of her bed and readied herself to wake the patient but he was awake, she could hear him wince in pain as he continued to wriggle in pain.

Her face drew grey for a second when she realized how much pain he was in but what could she even do at this point so she decided that she'd have to bite the bullet and try by any means necessary to get Hook to take his meds so she placed a hand over Hook's chest and he seemed to stop moving at her touch, he pulled away from her, or tried to and gave her a scorned look as if she'd just burned him, she looked confused but determined as her goal hadn't changed. "hook" she pleaded as she held him still with much difficulty though because for all her trying he seemed to fight harder against her and all this moving about would be causing him more pain, that much Emma was sure of.

With Hook settled for a second she moved the pillows upwards of the head board and tried to position Hook so that he was sitting but he didn't seem to want to work with her whatsoever. As he fought against her, Emma could see the pain in Hook's face and just hoped that soon this would all be over. "you need to sit up" Emma explained, she eyed Hook now and he seemed dazed and a little out of it, if Emma had to guess it could be to with the pain he was in because she didn't why else he would seem so ... different. "why?" He finally asked in a shallow breath. She just focused on trying to get Hook to sit up but settled for upright as he was still sort of lying down some place between lying and sitting would have to do for now because he was not going to help her. "here" she offered as she finally let her touch from Hook go completely as she leaned over to the counter by her bed to reach for the glass and brought it to his lips. He took a couple gulps of the cold liquid before Emma breathed out.

"do you trust me?" Emma said, more of a comment than a question in which hook was looking into her eyes with confusion and mystification. He opened his mouth to speak but Emma placed a finger on his lips and shook her head. Hook closed his mouth and Emma lingered but finally released her finger from his lips as she turned away from him, swallowing hard she took the pain medicine in her hand as she let her fingers fall flat, exposing them to Hook, her injured pirate he looked confused. "What is it?" Hook asked her, staring at the pills and then back at her. "they are for your - your pain" she said, not really sure what was so strange about all of this and then it hit her, maybe he had never taken pill form medication before she assumed that he must have taken potions and lotions and other magical remedies but perhaps but pills and so she half smiled. "you swallow them - and they'll help with your pain" Emma explained as she watched as his expression changed. He smirked. This was good, he must have been getting a little more comfortable at least.

"What makes you think that I am in pain" Hook mused. Emma just laughed. He seemed hurt, confused and frowned a little at her laughing at him but it soon changed to anger as she poked him just above his stab wound. "aaarhhh" Hook let out in pain as he realized that Emma had made his point. "will you stop torturing me if I take those" he asked her looking at the pills that Emma still held in her hand and Emma nodded, not saying a word and before she knew it he was snatching the pills from her hand and swallowed them. "uhhh" Emma said befuddled. Hook raised an eyebrow at her and she just blinked, trying to let it sink in, what had actually just happened. "you were - you were supposed to take them with water" she explained, stammering a little. "Oh - does it mean they will not work" Hook asked her and watched as Emma's confused face grew into a small smile. She laughed a little. "uh-no" she told him as she edged off of the bed and stood watching as he lowered his body so that he was once again laying down, completely.

Emma turned around and was about to leave him when she heard Hook, "Emma?" he said, questions in his tone so she spun around slowly. "yes hook" she answered him. "you are leaving?" he asked her and she wondered if he meant the apartment or the room and since she had just been sitting beside him, forcing him into positions against his will and forcing him to take medication she assumed he had meant her bedroom. "you need your rest" she told him. He looked down for a moment and Emma saw it as her chance to leave but maybe he was falling asleep. But Emma wasn't that lucky, "please stay" Hook finally said looking up at Emma again, he was sincere and honest and Emma let out a breath "Hook I-" she began to say before being cut off by the pirate she had just been torturing moments ago. "no - I mean you also need to sleep and this is your bed after all" Emma let out a nervous laugh. "no" she simply said, feeling as if she might have gone bright red like a tomato, she swallowed. "I mean I have to be somewhere, but you need to rest - go to sleep, I'll be back later to check on you" she said, emitting a lot of details for obvious reasons but she couldn't help the fact that she didn't think that Hook needed to know she was going to meet with Neal. Emma didn't even give the pirate a chance to say the last word because just like that she was gone, leaving her patient to get some rest and hoped he would get some sleep.
