Changing Times

Surprises Never End

You awaken in a dream. You look around as you feel something around you. You are still in your room, and Dark is behind you.

You feel him kiss your neck. He brings his mouth right behind you ear. "I wanna take you somewhere." He crawls out of bed and comes around to you. He uncovers you, revealing clothes from last night. You shiver from the cool air.

He picks you up and carries you like a child. You feel him jump into the shadows, and then back out. He puts you down and speaks. "Look up to the sky."

You open your eyes as you tilt your head up. First you notice it is still night time. You gasp at the sight. You see millions of stars, in all different colors. Not only that, you also see what seems to be a ribbon of a rainbow, flowing in the sky. But you can tell its not the northern or southern lights.

"It's beautiful."

"I knew you would like it. I pulled some favors, to make this happen. I wanted to do something for you, something that would show my love."

You step close to him and hug him. "I already know you love me, and you didn't have to do this. But thank you."

"I just wanted to give you something, a sight you will always remember. If we never get out of here, I want to do all I can for you. And I know what you are gonna say, but for all we know, your plan my not work."

You let your head rest on his chest, and you listen to his breathing. Soon, you fall asleep, still hugging him.

Dark's POV

He falls asleep against me. I position myself, and I pick him up. I carry him bridle style, and walk to the shadows. As we fade into them, I sense something.

When I come out of the wall in our room, I notice that whatever I sensed, is coming from Y/N. It feels familiar, yet strange. I should be worried, Y/N never feels like that. But I get the feeling that it is alright, that there is nothing to worry about.

I lay him in our bed, and I crawl in beside him. I cover us up, and fall asleep.

~~one week time skip~~

I wake up from my sleep, and I hear yelling downstairs. I get up and dressed, then I head downstairs. I hear a plate crash against the wall. As I head it to the kitchen, I see Y/N throwing punches at Anti and Wilfred.

"What the hell is going on here?"

Y/N looks at me and squints his eyes. "You." He then charges at me.

Your POV

You swing a fist at Dark's face. He grabs your fist, and with some quick movements, has your hands behind your back. You struggle against his hold, and soon start to break free.

"Y/N, stop this now." Your mark glows, and you feel all the fight in you vanish. He lets you go, and you just stand there.

"Now tell me, what the hell is going on."

"I don't know. I was fine, and my cousin mentioned something about my weight gain. That comment infuriated me for no reason."

"So you decided to beat up everyone?"

"Yes, but I just... my mood, just changed."

You look at everyone. "I am sorry, I don't know what happened." You head up to your room, and change.

As you are up there, something clicks. "No way. It's impossible. Mom, I need you."

You wait a few moments. Oh... thats right. I'm not in my time.

You head to the corner of the room, and try to meld into the shadows. As you turn into shadows, your body fights you. It tries to stay in the mortal world. You try with all your might, but you can't.

Dark, get up here. It's important.

He comes up quickly, in fact, he bursts out of the shadows. "What's wrong?"

You sit on the bed. "Nothing is wrong, exactly." You motion your hand at the door, and it closes. "I think I finally know what is going on. It all makes sense, kind of. The weight, mood swings, why I have been having issues Shadowjumping."

"What are you getting at?"

"Dark. I'm pregnant."
