"I love humanity, but I hate people." –Edna St. Vincent Millat

Aurum merely stared at the remnants of his now flattened phone which laid in the middle of the busy New York Street. Lou Ellen looked smug as a devilish grin grew on her face while Cecil merely shoveled whatever snacks he had from his backpack into his mouth, as if he was watching a reality television show. If it were a television show, a couple of tumbleweed so would've already blown by due to the tense atmosphere.

Calmly, the black haired boy pulled a small pocket planner from his suit and asked, "Cecil, do you happen to have a writing utensil on you?"

"Always!" Cecil reached behind his ear and pulled out a number two pencil which was so short it was practically a nub with a nonexistent eraser. "I gotcha, pal!"

Aurum internally groaned at this kid who couldn't even speak English properly as he cautiously took the pencil out of Cecil's Cheeto dusted hand. He pulled the handkerchief out of his pocket and wrapped it around the pencil nub. He held it with the graphite barely sticking out of the cloth. "Lou Ellen, do you happen to have any contact information?"

Lou Ellen tilted her head, wondering where this sudden change of attitude came from. "I guess I can give you the camp's number. Why are you asking?"

"Oh, just to write it down so I tell my lawyer to contact you later."

A loud stomp caused Aurum to drop his pencil and handkerchief in surprise. "WHAT?!" She shouted, and with another swift movement of her hand, the planner also flew out of Aurum's grasp and hit a taxi window in mid flight. The passenger jumped in his seat and began screaming loudly about sorcery and fantastic beasts attacking his ride. Cecil took three steps back as if he knew what was going to happen next.

"I'd dare to say that this, in fact, should be considered an assault," Aurum rubbed his temple to try and rid himself of a growing headache. He looked down at the fallen items, bent down to pick them up and paused before he could touch them. Instead, he straightened back up and kicked them aside with his shoe."Harassment, to say the least. I'm afraid that if I stay any longer, I'll lose whatever I have left in my pockets."

Lou Ellen's face seemed to grow red in frustration as if she were about to erupt like a barely contained volcano. She swallowed the lump of anger down her throat and balled her fists. "You need to come to Camp Half-Blood," Lou Ellen grit her teeth to restrain herself. As she folded her arms, she blew her pink bangs out of her eyes. "We can explain why on the way, but right now, it isn't safe for the three of us to just stand here."
