I woke up from a nap and instantly checked my phone. Sabti always makes it a point to call me when she's coming home. It's been three hours.....where is my wifey at? I called all of her friends, but nobody was picking up. Something ain't right, something ain't right at ALL. My Mumma, Forrest, and my closest friends were here.
I turned on the TV and the news....the news just had me gone.
News Announcer: "We interrupt this program to inform you of a breaking news story. Sabti Zuniga, the highly-successful yet controversial poet and visionary, was killed in a car crash in Madagascar. Zuniga was driving along the road when a vehicle on the wrong side of the street approached her and six other passengers in her 1991 Range Rover. She succeeded in avoiding the collision, but was struck by another passing vehicle. The car flipped over six times, throwing Zuniga out of the vehicle and onto a cat's eye, killing her instantly. She was 45 years old. Zuniga, the only fatality in the crash was set to marry Grammy nominated singer Trey Songz one month from today. It would have been her second marriage, she was previously married to Jodeci founder/member DeVante Swing from 1999 to 2014. She is survived by two daughters and one son."
I collapsed on the floor and burst into tears. The love of my life was gone....I couldn't believe it.
Mumma April: Baby, it's okay. It's okay....
