The truth hurts.

I couldn't help to pause to rethink about the choice of words that was about to come out of my mouth. "I have been talking to Duncan again." Once I mention Duncan's name I could see Courtney brown eyes pierce through my soul. "But, it does not mean we are together. We are just talking."

"Do you really think I am that stupid?" Courtney eyes went from me to the table in anger, she pouts her lips out as she held her emotion back. "Just talking." She air quoted those two words. "Just like the time you told me you two are 'just friends', come on Gwen. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice-"

"Court, if you let me finish I was going to let you know everything." I had to stop her before she could release a storm. "Yes, the idea of us getting back together had accrued." I watch Courtney rolled her eyes as she lean back in her side of the both folding her arms together. "BUT, I told him I would only stay on friends term with him until he earns back my trust."

"Sound filmier?" Bridgette looks at Courtney annoyed at me. Despite the fact Bridgette and I were close, she had sided with Courtney from the beginning. I believe her reasoning had to deal with her boyfriend siding with me with this whole drama. Geoff saw the facts, and he was close to both Duncan and I.

"Hmmmpp." LeShawana looks away from the group towards the waiter who had yet to harassed us over drinks.  I felt as if everyone was mad at me. However I saw some compassion from Leshawana from the corner of her eyes looking at me for a brief moment.

"And I am suppose to be okay with it?" Court questioned my reasoning for informing the group about Duncan and I.

"Well. I do not expect you to react a certain way, but it had been y      ears since you two had been together." Also if you followed the timeline of total drama island, I had dated Duncan longer than her (assuming Total Drama take place once every summer) but that is beside the point. "Also, you have mention you had interest in this Tom guy."

"His name is Tod, and that doesn't matter. Duncan was mine first. " The brunet turns her head back towards me while narrowing her eyes. This is something I disliked about Court, a person is not an toy. You can't just keep it in your toy box as you replace the attachment with others only to flip out when someone took out the first toy that you pushed aside. Mind you, she had flirted with Justin and Alejandro after they had split. Then she rushed into another relationship with Scott. "He is my boyfriend. " She clench her fist together as everyone turn their attention towards her. 

In this moment I felt like my heart stopped.

I put my trust in him.

He was just playing with my emotion all along.

"I mean Duncan was my boyfriend." The former P.I.C. rephrase what she meant to say. 

Wow, Court. Way to freak me out!

"Look, before you two bicker back and forth over some guy that could ruin this friendship again even though this relationship may or may not work out." Cody tried to stop this interaction from escalating. 

"Scrawny dude has a point." LeShawana gesture towards him, she waited until Courtney made eye contact with her. "It been years since you and Duncan had some sort of a connection. You are holding yourself back by letting the idea of him from falling in love again. " She was giving us the cold truth of the matter. "If Gwen thinks that this guy had change we cannot tell her what to do. Remember when everyone told you at first not to date him, it only added to the fire. " She rolled her eyes at the past.
