Two Weeks Later....

I pull a new tap on Google Chrome to search for music on Youtube, on my recommended list I saw a cover of Toxic by Melanie Martinez then click on auto play to the playlist it was attach to.  I hum along to the singer  while going onto words to continue the horror story I been challenge to write. Mid story I guess the song influenced some old fashion romance between the two character. Right as the two just started to get rather heavy into their sexual act I had the female slit the male throat revealing that the so called hero in the story turn out to be the villain all along. I couldn't resist the urge to write some disturbing graphic image of what took place to  I bite my lips trying to create confusing twist and turn, it wasn't until I receive  a call that I notice I been typing for four hours straight.

"Is this Gwendolyn?" The voice belonged to Duncan's mother who I have not spoken to in a long time.

"Yes... Is everything alright?" I was rather confused why she would call me out of all people.

"Well, it's about Duncan." Great, what happened now! How can he get in more trouble!  "I don't think the two of you should be seeing each other... It's for the best." His mother never seem to have any disapproval when either Courtney or I dated Duncan.

"Um pardon me..." I got up from my seat to walk towards the door, I shut it softly so no one in the halls would listen in. "Why is that a concern I mean?"

"Gwendolyn... You seem like a great girl but with you around I am scared that Duncan will fall back into his patterns. I not only want to keep from you but from the limelight.. As long as the press give him attention I'm afraid he will act up to get a reaction! I am just cutting off from all contact from Total Drama...." She explain her reasoning.

"Ms.Nelson, may I remind you he was in juvie long before he was even connected to the show...." I tried hard not to show any emotion over the phone by biting my lips in between response. "And Duncan is a grown man, he can choose who he want in his life and who he doesn't" I softly added while tucking one side of my hair behind my ears. I could hear her taking a deep breath which made me nervous for a moment until she started to speak again.

"I see your point, but as a mother I want the best for my son. Please consider letting Duncan move forward with his life without Total Drama dragging him down." She sounded disappointed in my reaction before saying her fell well. "Hope you the best of luck, good day." She hung up leaving me in silence to my thoughts. When it comes to Duncan and I, it seem like all the signs are point to no. The world does not want us together, and maybe it's for the best.  Even though I never offically agreed to getting back together with Duncan I think it might be best to at least give him a proper goodbye. Closure from whatever we are...

I walk back to my desk where I tried to finish typing but I couldn't so I ended the story with one of the character saying "Unfortunately this has no end, just with life the future is what you will make of it." talking to herself in the mirror. I print the papers then I look at the time, I was scheduled to see Duncan again. 

A knock on my bedroom door startled me for a brief moment, I gather my paper together before seeing who it was. Just as I start to get up from my chair I saw my Nana smiling at me. "Come on Gwenny, time to see your friend." She wanted to drive me this time to make sure I come home in one piece. She touches her hair with her right hand before softly laughing. "And after words you can fix up my hair won't ya." I couldn't help to smile back at her. She was one of the few people that I always feel better around. 

"Of course." I replied softly as I walk towards the door to walk with her out the house. "Though we need to pick up more dye on the way home, I used up the last of the one here." My Nana and I use the same dye on our hair. My mother always joked that the goth fashion skipped a generation since my grandmother and I have the same sense of clothes and music than she does. We use the same dye and have the same color of lipstick, but I always keep mine in my room since she often claim them both as hers.
