It's Complicated

Late!

************2 weeks later***********

********Jason*******

I woke up with a start. Someone was pounding on my door.

"Jason! Wake up!! We're gonna miss breakfast!!!!" it was Dawn. I looked over at the clock and its like 10:30 a.m. She told me breakfast ends at 11:oo a.m. Shit!!

I rushed over to my door and opened it for her. She squealed as she basically fell on me since she was leaning on the door.

"Ugh! Jason! Hurry up!!" She said rushing me.

"I'm sorry!" I said going to the bathroom to change. Her sweet sent caught my attention again. Ugh what's wrong with me...

"Could you be any slower!" She said laughing a little as I came out of the bathroom. "Hey smart one your shirts on backwards." She said while giggling at me.

"Oh hush. You'rethe one rushing me!" I laughed and stuck my tongue out at her. She stuck her tongue out back. I just stopped and realized what she's wearing. Its winter so she's dressed warmly but she looks absolutely adorable in anything she wears. She's wearing a grey sweater dress and grey leggings under it and her hair is up in a ponytail and some pieces are hanging out and they look like they've been curled. Her bangs are still rainbow too. She's wearing Uggs that have little fuzz balls on laces on them. Like I said absolutely adorable, in a friendly way of course.

"What are you staring at me for, I'm starving lets gooooo!" She said grabbing my wrist and walking to the cafeteria for breakfast. I'm pretty hungry too.

We both got our food. Dawn got biscuits and gravy with a strip of bacon and I got eggs and bacon with toast. We sat down at the table with Dustin, who still doesn't like me for some reason, and Jewel who I met the second day I was here. She's a pretty nice person. Her and Dawn don't talk though...

Dustin and Dawn started talking and I noticed something I've never really noticed before, Dustin isn't tense or serious around Dawn. His face softens his voice get kinder and he actually smiles. I never see him smile except with Dawn. I still don't understand this whole wolf thing so I have no idea what's going on. Maybe I'll ask Jewel about it later..

Dawn and I are together like 24\7 we're best friends. She's told me all about her life like that when she was little and she shifted for the first time her parents freaked out and tried to drown her in the bathtub because they were human and they didn't understand. After that she was alone until Dustin found her by a river starving and freezing. Since then she's lived in the Silver Mist pack. I also told her about my life. Like how All my family disowned me for no real reason and I've been out on my own since then. All my family is dead now...some weird disease that runs in the family. Fortunately I didn't get it. Dawn and I know a lot about each other.

I ate my food and started daydreaming for awhile...

******Dawn*******

Jason is sitting next to me daydreaming, like always. Jewel is talking to her friends....the ones that pick on me all the time...and I'm having a conversation with Dustin. He keeps talking about how he has to find a mate soon. I wonder who he's gonna pick. He doesn't seem to be interested in anyone from what I can tell...

Every since I saved Jason something's been bugging me....It's not a bad thing it just this feeling.....I don't know what it is. All I know is my wolf is trying to tell me something I just can't quite grasp it. He smells amazing.....I-I think I like him! No that can't be...I haven't even known him for that long...besides he likes Jewel.....He says he doesn't but I can tell he does.

Maybe they'll mate.....

Just then I felt a small pang of pain like my heart just broke a little....it hurt to think of that and I don't know why...

Maybe its because Jewel's a bully and-

"Hello? Earth to Dawn? You there?" Dustin smiled and was trying to get my attention. Thank god he cut off my thoughts I didn't like where it was going..

"Sorry I was daydreaming." I giggled and tried to forget the thought and the pang of pain that came with it.

"It's ok." He smiled again.

"What were you saying?" I asked

"I was just asking who you think a good mate would be. I don't really feel anything with any of the girls here...." He said looking around the room.

"Hmmmmmmmm what about Britteny? She's pretty and she's a good hunter." I said looking over at her.

"No I don't think its her...." He said looking at me.

"Well I don't know weirdo." I giggled. "I'm not good at these things and you know that." I said and threw my napkin at him.

WE both laughed and continued to talk about nonsense. It seems that Dustin doesn't have fun or even smile unless he's with me. It's weird..
