Because who else wanted Kate to actually claim Rick when Kyra talked to her in the last scene!

She was mad, no she was Livid! How could he do this!? She had thought he was a different man then the one in Page six! As she stared down at the photo in her hands Kate sucked in a large puff of air.
"Hey chica what's wrong?" Espo's voice carried over to her. Kate looked up and rolled her eyes, "Castle seems to be having a kissing party with our suspect."
Esposito's face indicated he wasn't surprised, "What do you expect girl? Kyra is his first love, the flame doesn't go out that quickly." He shrugged his shoulders.
Kate mumbled something under her breath, not liking the feeling that was bubbling inside her. She knew it quite well...Jealousy. She shouldn't be jealous!
She didn't even have feeling for him, he was a self centered- arrogant-
"Becket guess what!" Oh great, just the man she wanted to see.
The kisser himself, no that didn't work. "Beck? Katee." Castle sing-songs.
Kate growls in response, scooting her chair back. She grabbed her mug and stormed into the break room, already knowing he was following her.
"Kate did I do something?"
Stop, stop, stop! Don't call me that, it's to personal! Her head screamed at her. Her other side wanted to grab his perfect face and kiss him senseless.
She definitely wasn't going for the latter!
"Castle what did I tell you? I said DO NOT get involved with Kyra again." She hisses. Rick gulps, his adam's apple bobbing up and down.
"I..I.." Kate rolls her eyes, now he's nervous!?
"I mean..I thought you were different then the man on Page six! You kissed another man's fiance castle!"
"She's not his fiance." A mumbled reply came.
Now she was confused, "What?" Rick sighed, "We met on the roof and she said he broke up with her, then she kissed me."
Kate's jaw dropped, ok so he didn't make kyra cheat, point for castle. But he had met her when she told him not to!
"Still, you met with her! She could be the murderer for all we know!" She challenged, stirring her coffee.
Rick scoffed, "Yeah I don't buy that for one second."
Kate gave him two narrowed eyes, "And why is that Rick?" She punctuated his first name.
