Chapter 4

I was less then excited to get home after school. I could feel my ever looming shadow following me most of the way home.

Amy, dan and I had agreed to meet at my house an hour after school gets out, which means I have an hour until dan see the inside of my house for the first time... As far as im aware.

I didn't have much homework to do, so I picked up my DS as soon as I got into my room. My backpack was left leaning against wall near the door.

I was playing animal crossing when I heard a knock. Not from my door though, from my window. I put my DS down and opened the curtains to my window.

I was faced with an overly excited dan. At my window. I unlocked my window and opened it, luckily it doesn't have a screen.

"Why were you knocking on my window?" I yelled as he climbed through.

" I figured it be more polite to not barge in when youre still awake." He shrugged stand up and fixing his hair.

I chose to ignore the fact that he said 'when you're still awake' , though I probably should've called the cops.

Amy walked into my room right after that, and I turned to face her. She walked in without even knocking, but she's here so often she practically lives here so it's alright.

"How'd he already get here?" Amy questioned surprised.

"He climbed through my window." I tell her, still weirded out. Amy looked to dan in an odd fashion.

"Hey at least I knocked!" Dan said raising his hands put by his head in a guilty way.

Choosing to ignore everything that just happened I try to change the subject.

"Anyways, let's work on the project." I say awkwardly.

They both nod at me in agreement. We set out paper and pen on my hardwood floor and all lay on pillows.

"Phil if you could have any pet, what pet would it be and what would you name it?" Amy asks me. We had been going around our circle asking questions.

"Um, A Dragon called Dark Slayer!" I say excitedly ( I love the few people who understand this reference. Thanks.)

"For real Phil, you can't go making up animals!" She laughed, pushing me jokingly. I laughed along too.

"Alright, alright. Probably a kitten called Cardboard." I respond seriously.

"Why cardboard?" Dan laughed

"Hey! I'm the one asking questions here," Amy joked, " why cardboard?" I heard dan let out a joking huff of breath.

"I don't know i think it's cute." I say simply.

Amy shrugs and writes it down in her notes.

"Dan, if you could give one thing to someone in attempt to make them love you, what would you give them?" I asked. It was more of a joke questions, but I was curious.

"A single red rose, " Dan responded.

"Wow how cliché." I retort back at him.

"I like clichés. " Was all he said in response.

We went all around with questions for a long time until we were all bored out of out minds.

"Anyone want popcorn and Mario kart?" I suggest, both of the lift their heads content by the idea. I smiled.

"Be warned, you guys won't win." Dan brags with a giggle. I laugh at his wild beliefs.

" As if Ditto, I could beat you any day."

"Ditto?" Amy asked, referring to the nickname I've given dan, and I shake my head in an 'ill explain later' way.

"Oh yeah? Wanna bet?"

" What sort of bet?"

"I have something in mind" he smiled evilly. I was nervous to make a bet with him, but I had no doubt i could win. He couldn't be that good.

Could he?
