After a short nap Daniel awoke to a knocking at his bed room door. Of course it was going to be his dad but he couldn't open the door since his room reeked of weed. He waited til the knocking stopped and sighed in relief. His dad found out he did drugs he'd be in deep shit. Quickly he got an air freshener and sprayed the room. His high was already almost gone anyway so he was good to go. Just a few eye drops and voila.
"Hey Daniel! There's someone downstairs asking for you!" he heard his father yell. What the hell was he talking about? Nobody ever came to his house at night. Curiosity took the best of him and he hurried down the stairs. Once he reached the bottom he was dumbfounded. It was the girl from earlier. What was her name again? Oh yeah Amanda something right? She flashed him a smile and gave a small wave. What was she doing here?
"Hey Daniel. I came to ask you about some homework. Do you mind if i stay here awile?" she pleaded. Daniel gave her a confused look. He didnt have her for any classes. What was this chick babbeling about? He just shrugged and led her up to his room. He was still abit high so honestly he didnt give a damn why she was there, just that he was happy she was.
" So, would you like to go upstairs?" he asked her and she just nodded, almost running up the stairs. Daniel followed shortly behind her and led her to his bedroom. She walked inside and wrinkled her nose. Damn, she could smell it. She took a seat on his bed and just stared at him.
"You know I dont remember having you for a class or anything" he said as she remained quiet. She looked around for awhile and finally answered him.
" I know, I just had to get away from home for a bit. Please dont ask why." she said and she said it in such a tone where Daniel didnt even want to question it. He just sat there and looked at her in such a way that if someone was dying next to him, he wouldnt have noticed. It was an awkward silence that filled the room with unspoken thoughts that he began to feel suffocated. His breathing became a bit heavy with the eagerness to say at least something, anything. He'll just have to wait and see what wil lhappen......
