Daniel grabbed his crutches and walked down the street. It was midnight again and he had finally decided to tell Avery to tell Amanda to meet at the park. It was quiet there at night and it can be somewhat private. He wanted to meet up with her earlier but Amanda begged for him to be there at that time. It made him curious why she was so eager to be there so bad.
He walked towards the park with his crutches and did his best to not limp. His meds had helped him with the pain and his scraps were pretty much just scabs, no need for them to be wrapped.
The night was chilly and he zipped up his hoodie and stuck his hands in his pockets. It was so cold Daniel could see his breath. Slowly, he made his way into the park and didnt expect Amanda to already be there. But she was, she was swinging back and forth slowly on a swing, her eyes closed. She was huming something, a soft melody. Daniel watched her from a distance so she wouldnt notice him. Amanda looked so at peace almost like a small child, with her scarf wrapped around her neck and her jacket zipped up to the neck. The moon was full and it shown on her face, exposing her ever feature. She was so beautiful.
Daniel hid his crutches behind a bush and made his way towards her from behind. He grabbed her by the waist and was going to hug her but her reaction was different than what he expected. She tensed up and froze on the swing. He had taken her by suprise and almost instantly she hit him in the gut and a blow to the face. Daniel groaned and let out a little yell. Amanda turned to look at him as he doubled over and gasped. She hadent known it was him. She thought it was a stranger.
"Oh my gosh! Im so sorry! I didnt know it was you.!" she said helping him up. Daniel clutched his stomach and didnt have the air to say something so he just nodded and sat on the swing. Daniel felt like crying and not because he was a wimp but because she had hit him were the car had. Yeah he had a big bruise there, now he had another.
"Oh man, Im gonna feel that in the moring. What the heck were you thinking?" Daniel groaned and tugged her hair a bit. Amanda had a sorry look on her face and shrugged abit.
" I didnt think it was you. Im sorry, oh uhm your nose is bleeding." she said giving a wincing look. Daniel stared at her in disbelief and touched his nose. Holy cow nipples his nose was bleeding. Oh great we got a bleeder! Daniel felt like a nerd as he tilted his head back and felt pain all over his abdomen. He wasnt going to do that to her ever again, ever.
"Here use this" She said as she handed him a tissue. Daniel took it and shoved the paper up his nose. He stared at her with narrowed eyes ( -.-) with the paper up his nose and she couldnt help but laugh.
" Well, Im glad my pain amuses you." He muttered and pushed her swing. Amanda giggled and pushed him back. Daniel laughed along and almost forgot the reason why he was there. Thats when he stopped laughing and looked her in the eyes.
'' So Avery gave me your note the other day." he started and made sure to keep eye contact with her. But as he mentioned the note her expression changed abit and the atmosphere tensed up. She took awhile to answer and she fiddled nervous hands around her hair.
"Oh, yeah of course. I know what your talking about now." stuttered out and gave a weak smile. Daniel cocked an eyebrow and gave her a look. She was trying to avoid the conversation. She bowed her head down as he looked at her. Amanda was so nervouse she didnt have the guts to look at him in the eye.
"I think we should talk about it, dont you?" he asked her as she kept looking down at the floor. She shrugged abit but finally nodded. Daniel could tell she was shy and didnt really want to talk about it which ment he had to talk this out carefully.
"Listen Amanda, I like you, really I do but you cant just ask me out like that. I mean you can but on the day of the party you were acting really weird. First off you were all mad at me then all lovey dovey then you go off flirting with another guy. That kind of makes me feel, I dont know mad and confused. Its like I dont even know your true feelings towards me. " Daniel said and hoped to get her attention but she never looked up at him. Just kept looking down. That was the type of shit he didnt like. She always hid her feelings.
Daniel lifted up her face and made her look at him square in the face. She had an expressionless face and smiled abit.
"I know what you mean, its just that I was abit drunk and didnt really know what I was doing. Im sorry if I hurt your feelings. I really care about you too, dont get me wrong, your different." she said as he held her face. Daniel could feel her skin get warmer as she finished her sentence. She was blushing. Daniel looked at her face and for the first time noticed the bruise on her cheek. He brushed his thumb over the bruise and she let out a wince.
"What happened to you?" Daniel asked and she shrugged. Amanda put a hand over the bruise and ignored his question.
"So will you be mine?" She asked with a smile on her lips. Daniel looked at her bruise once more and didnt answer her. Amanda rolled her eyes and this time she lifted his chin and looked him in the eye.
"On the day of the party I fell because I was drunk. Okay? Now will you answer my question?" she asked with an eager tone. Daniel sighed and nodded abit he couldnt really tell if she was lying though but ignored it.
"Yeah okay, we can go out. On one condition though." he said giving her a wicked smile. She cocked an eyebrow and pursed her lips.
"What is that?" she asked and looked at him curiously.
"You me, raymond and avery go on a double date." He said and Amandas whole face light up. She smiled from ear to ear and nodded excitedly. He took that as a yes. He just did himself and Raymond a favor.
