It's official. I signed up for the wrong math class. Well, it's not technically wrong because I knew that I wanted to sign up for this specific class, but I didn't realize that I was way past the level of the course. I mean, I took MTH 243 and 244 in high school, and now I'm taking MTH 111. It's such a huge jump down. And now it's too late to drop the class without getting a W on my transcript (W=withdrawl). Plus, I already paid for the class, so there's two things stopping me from dropping the class. So now I'm stuck with this class until the middle of December. Which if you think about it, it's better than getting stuck with that math class for the whole school year.
Uneventful day. Again. Nothing special happened in math and nothing special happened in writing.
I have to make an appointment with an academic advisor to plan out the next few terms, which really takes a load off of me because I thought I had to do that alone. I'm only taking 12 credits this term, but if I only take 12 credits per term, I won't get my Bachelor's on time. Unless maybe I went during the summer. So I have to bump it up to about 15-16 credits each term. It's only a draft, but here's what I want/have to take next term: MTH112, WR227, ENGR100, ASL101. MTH112 is Elementary Functions, WR227 is Technical and Professional Writing 1, ENGR100 is an online Exploring Engineering course, and ASL101 is First Year American Sign Language 1. That'll total about 14 credits. I'm worried that I won't be able to complete all of the required classes that I need to transfer over to the sister university.
I'm so tired, and I'm only my second week into college. I hope it's a gradual descent into being a walking zombie and not just all of a sudden, haha.
Well, I'm going to check if I have homework due tomorrow. I don't think I do, but just in case. Luckily I don't have work tomorrow so I can get ahead with my homework. And I'm really liking the whole MW/TTh class schedule. At my high school, we had A/B classes, and each week would either have 3 A days and 2 B days, or vice versa. But I don't have classes on Fridays, so it's really nice. I'm also going to try and find out if there's anything to help me from clenching my jaw when I focus. Because it makes my jaw ache.
