My College Years

   So not a whole lot happened, but there was actually more than usual that happened. Last Thursday (10/13), in my CG class, we got into small groups and went around campus and tried to find as many things that one can get involved with as possible. Then in the same groups, we came up with topics for our presentations. I got lucky because the people in my group are very friendly and seem like they're easy to approach. The class whizzed by, mostly because it's only an hour and a half long.

   After class, my friend Brendan and I were walking towards the stairs when we ran into my best friend Domonique. We were so excited because we talked the day before and made plans to go see the choir concert this Wednesday night. It was brought up that there were fun little activities going on at the bookstore and that we should go. I was quite excited because the night before, Domonique told me that there was this cute brown-haired, blue-eyed guy the worked there when she was there last, so I was hoping that we'd see him there (he wasn't there). There was a game of beer pong (without the beer) and a bean bag toss going on. Domonique went and played the bean bag toss, and I played beer pong with Brendan. I kicked his butt, then he played Domonique and kicked her butt. We got raffle tickets for winning or participating, and those tickets went towards a raffle for a top-of-the-line backpack filled with school supplies. After that, we played a 3-person game of the bean bag toss. I, again, won. This one guy who worked at the bookstore came over and showed us a bunch of card tricks. It made my head hurt, and I curled up in a ball on the floor after one trick haha. But in the end, he told us how he did them.

   Today I had my first college exam in math, and it was super easy. I had no clue we could leave class after finishing an exam, so I got out 50 minutes early. I sat outside and waited for my next class, which was a bad idea because it was cold and windy. Writing was a breeze as usual. I was walking to my car and it was pouring down rain, which sucked because I forgot my umbrella in the car. I went to the store to pick up a present and a card for Domonique's birthday tonight, and took my umbrella in - just in case it was raining when I got out. It wasn't. But there was thunder and lighting so I guess it was a good thing I didn't need it. I don't have work today, so I've got some extra time to do homework and get ready for tonight's outing. And then the concert is on Wednesday. I might cry, I miss my choir family so much! Will most likely post about it on Thursday.
