Chapter 8

Ann's POV

- 7 months later (:big skip I know:)

I look at Matt as he jumps into the lake off the dock. I'm tanning on the dock and my brothers are playing in the small stream right by the lake Matt is visiting for a month right now and it's so nice having him here! He left back in December and last month he called me saying he was coming to Michigan.

"Ann!" someone yells.

"Yes?" I tell back.

"My arm hurts." I look at Marcus and John but they are still playing in the stream. Matthew is coming up onto the dock, about to jump in... I look behind me again and see a little boy. My aunt and uncle laugh at my surprised face.

"Hey there Spencer!" I say picking him up. He's one.

"We have a favor for you.." my aunt says. "Can we have a talk inside please?" she looks scared almost but she's still smiling.

"Matthew? can you watch the twins for a few?" I yell behind me.

"Yah but you have to pay me." he says getting out if the lake and to the steam.

"Okay, let's go inside." I say.

We head inside and sit down in the loving room by the big mirror facing the lake.

"We need your help Ann. We...robbed a bank... and we don't want Spencer and Charlie to get hurt.." she looked down at her duffle.

"We'll give you some money to take care of them too." Uncle Mike says.

"Take care of them? Who's Charlie?" I ask confused

"I'll be right back." Aunt Sofia left for a couple minutes outside and returned with a pink baby car seat.

"You're the only person we trust.." Mike said. I pick up a now crying Spencer and pat his back cooing into his hair.

I nod my head in agreement and they pull out a bag from their duffle.

"It's 5,000." Mike says...and then their gone.
