I was gasping for air and I was in panic. I could feel blood gushing out of my back and my wolf attempting to heal me. But the reason that I might die from blood loss is because my wolf does not have the proper nutrition to be able to save me from the wound I have. My vision soon begins to blur and I hear Ash screaming my name as I feel something warm on my back, and it's not the blood. Soon the pain becomes more intense until it subsides and I am left groaning at the relief my body is feeling, as fast as the pain comes it leaves me too. "Leave him alone!"

I feel a nose sniffing my neck. Something is ontop of me and trying to kill me. I began to struggle until it gave me a warning growl making me immediately freeze on the spot, on the floor in the middle of the woods. The wolf growled again before it puffed and got off of me and ran off. "Shit, are you okay." Ash helped me to my feet. "That wolf just saved your life." I looked at the bear that lied dead on the floor. "With one bite, killed the bear. The wolf came out of nowhere, I almost pissed my pants." Ash dusted me off as I tried to take calming breaths.

"I'm fine, it healed me." I mumbled, "we must continue with the wood. We can't afford to be late." I had to stop myself from going into shock, I would just pretend as though nothing had happened. In fear of fainting right now on the cold hard ground. There was a lot going through my mind right now. Like what will happen to my blood. It was mixed up with the thing's saliva now and things happen with you mix... It is only suppose to happen with two mates But I have long gave up on ever getting a mate. We would never be allowed together and he will be killed before we ever stepped in the same place together. Aside from us never being allowed together, he will not want me because I was used up. I was not pure as people say.

I shook my head from the thoughts. We were in silence all the way back to the house and straight to the basement where we put the piled wood in the corner and as we need it we will be moving it to keep us good for the winter. Tomorrow we would have to go back to kill a few squirrels, birds and raccoons. For food, we might not survive on the food they provide for us, it is a lot less when it's winter since they need to hunt for food themselves.

After that is done we relax for a while before it is time to work, cleaning up around the house and serving those nasty, greasy pigs. I dreaded doing that but it was the only to keep a good reputation around this hellhole. Sometimes if I am a 'good boy,' they give me fresh, warm meat. Sometimes some coffee and bread. Aside from the food I already get. One of them have given me a thicker blanket but one of the others stole it from me, telling me I was selfish and a jerk. Of course I could not do anything about it because Tren always causes a scene and could easily turn this into some sort of rivalry.

We left Tren alone and he left us alone for now at least. The only thing I did not let him take is food from Ash and I. We worked hard for that and I will be damned if he sat on his butt and pushed us around for being 'selfish.' We are anything but selfish.

Now it was past three in the afternoon I believe. "We need to go clean up the rooms. I could do the top floor and you could do the living room." Ash suggested.

"We could both do the top floor since it is Tren's turn to do the living room. He has a few others to help him too so he should not even complain right about now." I glared at him before he could even open his mouth. It's crazy how some of us used to get along well, be great friends. But when it come to 'survival of the fittest,' and 'every man for himself,' everything changes. But not with Ash and I. Instead it helped us to form a bond closer than ever.

We gathered up materials we needed to get the top rooms cleaned and proceeded to go upstairs. Ignoring all the angry glares that came our way for some unknown reason, it's something that always happens. Hours passed before we were coming to an end of the cleaning without a hand groping us. It was a short time and nobody screwed us over some furniture. Hopefully they are fearing this new Alpha.
