Imagine March getting bullied, and Justin coming to comfort him. Then, March ends up loving his wings.
---
March was standing in the center of a large circle of ruthless teenagers. His bulky glasses were shattered on the floor in front of him, and the tears flowed down his face to meet them there. All the children encircling him laughed and teased him for his odd appearance. That's what this society was built off of. If your appearance was odd, so were you, and everyone would ceaselessly remind you of it. He frantically looked around at all their blurry, laughing faces, trying to find some sign of remorse in any of their thoughts.
All the aviators were guilty as well, as they stayed in the lunch area to eat rather than tease the defenseless psychic. All except one bold, outspoken asian. Justin, or the troublemaker, as all the teachers called him. According to them, he didn't know his place in this world. He stomped his way over to the circle, and used his small, still-growing wings to push through it to the center. March looked up at the notorious aviator with awe on his young features.
"Back off guys, he did nothing to you!" he defended adamantly. They all snickered and pointed, whispering. The rumors were forming, and he knew that, but he held his ground, opting to boldly wrap his arms around the shaking teal-haired teen beside him. March, thankful for any sort of comfort, shoved his face into Justin's shoulder and sobbed. The circle disbanded as the class bell rang, quickly scattering to their respective classes.
March looked up at his savior nervously, tears drying on his cheeks. "Y-you didn't have to do that you know," he muttered softly, "you're an aviator, they're gonna hate you now..." He nodded, already having thought over all the possible outcomes.
"But they won't get to me! I'm strong!" He said heroically, hoping to coax a smile out of the teal haired boy beside him. The psychic's lips curled up into a small smile, and he wiped off his face, still sniffling occasionally.
"Thank you... uh..." he trailed off, not even knowing the taller boy's name.
"Justin" he replied happily. "I'm a 7th grader here. How about you? What's your name?" Justin's eyes had a spark of curiosity that seemed to burn for ages, not showing a sign of dying out any time soon.
March looked down slightly, locking his eyes on the jet black wings on Justin's back. They spanned from his chin to his hips, and looked to approximate to his forearms when spread. "March... I'm a 6th grader." he whispered shyly. He had no clue why he became so timid around the taller boy, but he figured it was just left over from the circle.
Justin nervously wrapped a wing around the small boy, hoping he would find it more comforting than disgusting. All the other psychics, witches, and warlocks found them revolting. The boy in question blushed slightly, looking up into Justin's golden eyes momentarily before cuddling into his shoulder once more.
"Uh- don't listen to what they tell you, okay? I never thought about it before, since I knew everyone would tease me but... uh..." he hesitated, contemplating whether he should admit it. "Your wings are really nice. They're comforting and the feathers are really really soft..." he mumbled nervously.
The golden eyes widened in surprise. A blush spread across his face and he teared up slightly, never having heard any compliments about his wings before. He opened his mouth slightly, trying to force words to come through. All he could manage was a sob as he tightened his grip on the younger boy, wrapping both wings around his body. "Th-Thank you so much..." he sobbed out quietly.
March rubbed his back softly, forgetting all of his troubles in the moment as he found an unlikely friend. Delving into his thoughts, just one sentence was repeated endlessly.
'Don't listen to them.'
